ugggh- Yup-
Most over-the-air TV and commercials now are “ghetto.”
reminds me of that female pop star Lizzo- Grossly overweight- i dont know what people see in her- she isn’t even a very good singer-
“Rochester” from the Jack Benny show doing a song & dance number as a commercial for Lucky Strikes:

They had uplifting jingles about their products. No politics involved.
pretty much- We mostly watch turner classic movies now- no commercials- but when we do watch other channels, we tape them to skip past the filthy gay trannie commercials they have now-
I wont be surprised however if recording shows doesn’t disallow skipping commercials somehow- even now- some of our ‘shows on demand’ won’t allow skipping commecrials

My sympathies if you're stuck in a hospital bed, but other than that, it begs the question, "what are you doing watching television?"
Even the talk shows from that era- where the hosts were liberal, were decent and polite- for the most part- and funny as all get out- johnny carson one of the best- talk show hosts today don’t hold a candle to him-
Plop plop
Fizz fizz
Oh what a relief it is.........
My dad always had to be first with everything, so we were the first people to have a TV, some small set with a round screen. All the neighbors came over to see it.
Big fun back then, now too many seriously crappy program choices.
Not many things surprise me anymore. That does. Without a doubt, I saw that as kid, I just don’t remember it.
OR, the black wife is super smart and the white hubby is an idiot.
The reason you see so many blacks on TV commercials is that once they start doing the hiring, their inner racist emerges.
I’m old enough to remember when cable was advertised as commercial free.
Sign up for cable and get NO ADS
vegetables, more vegetables, shampoo, cars, appliances, cereal, Aunt Jemima, department stores (Sears), Coca Cola, 7-UP, more vegetables, Alka Seltzer
Santa Claus riding a Norelco shaver
See the USA in your Chevrolet……..simple,no fuss ad.
…
I stopped watching TV years ago, so I have no idea what commercials look like today. And even back when I did watch it, I would always mute the commercials or fast forward through them.
