For months, Trump-fearing Republicans and the Trump-skeptical press have consoled themselves with the idea that there were clear limits to the celebrity billionaire's appeal. But during the Nevada caucus on Tuesday night, Donald Trump gave us all one more giant reason to worry as he wracked up more votes than Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz combined. Trump won a staggering 46 percent of the votes cast in what was a ostensibly a five-man race, far more than his mid-30s peak in the previous three contests and in national polls.
The Republican nomination does not yet belong to Trump: He has long polled better in Nevada than he does nationally, so his apparent momentum may be the result of a scheduling quirk more than anything else. Nonetheless, it's become increasingly difficult to craft a plausible scenario where any of his rivals can mount the type of comeback they'd need to pass him. It's unclear they even know where to start....

I heard today she plans to go scorched Earth. If she goes scorched Earth against Trump he will kick the living Shiite out of her and Bill. Then back over them and do it all over again.
If no one else gets 8 States they can not be considered by the RNC.
I think she's used to that second one by now, possibly by consequence of the first. So much so that she decided "when in Rome..." and struck up an acquaintance with Mrs. Weiner.
Unstated is what the State Department or CIA know about SAP programmatic information leaked to Huma, either via air-gap-jumped emails or pillow talk.
To help balance the budget, the debates should be pay-per-view.
That sure appears to be the case. Trump will make her health a point in the campaign, also. They are about the same age and he will show he has stamina and she is faltering in campaigning.
She can barely beat Bernie on the left.
Old Dog Trey could beat her in the general.
But 8 states, the right ones, could produce the requisite # of delegates.
I had to go back, didn't read that article, so skimmed it. The magic # is 1237 delegates to get the nomination. Ohio and Florida are winner-take-all.
The rest is too much for tonight. Spent most of my brainpower such as it is on an Apple discussion. Think I have a pretty good handle on that.
I don't think anyone has said *or* done that to Hillary since...how hold is Chelsea again?
Time for some eye bleach!
Remember hillary’s schtick when Lazio walked up to her during the debate?
THAT is her entire campaign strategy for the General.
Hillary has to stay in it.
She has a LOT of promises to keep and debts to pay back.
Hillary herself does not want to end up in Fort Marcy Park....

Am I the only one who looks at Rubio and sees Lazio?
Trump will destroy Hillary!
Hilda would be the same proposition as having Ma Barker in the white house.
I’ve been a critic of Trump nut after Nevada got to face facts. He is a Black Swan. An unforeseen phenomena that no one saw coming. He tore apart the deepest Republican bench in years despite a lot of gaffes. Once he settles into a groove and turns his guns on Hillary he’ll maul her. In a debate he’ll flatten her. If she’s not indicted first.
I wonder how many times the author gets called Jason
If Hillary actually beats Bernie, then I fully expect her to offer him vp. I think he will accept in a flash. Trump will face a somewhat unified dnc campaign. Trumps voice for vp will require solid strategy.
There is a must win eight state rule since 2012.
So unless Rubio or Cruz can win eight, neither has a chance to win a brokered convention.
Lynch’s announcement that career Justice Dept. attorneys are working with the FBI to provide them with investigative tools (subpoena powers, etc.) eliminates the little lamb option.
Lynch essentially confirmed the earlier leak that a criminal investigation is in progress.
The FBI was probably the first agency to know after talking to Guccifer.
