The google search will mostly provide you with the classical description of the Dajjal as an evil individual (the most evil since the serpent in Eden) who attempts to take over the globe, but is stopped and killed by the Mahdi.
“Dajjal” is frequently translated as “Anti-Christ,” but this is not really accurate, since 1) he is more the nemesis of the Mahdi, and 2) the Muslims have such a screwy notion of Christ, whom they call “Isa.”
The factoid which will not easily come up via a google search, but can be found in the writings of Prof. David Cook of Rice University, is this: many mullahs today ignore the classical description of the Dajjal as an individual, and teach that the classical description of an evil, one-eyed giant is a metaphor for the United States, Europe, and Western Civilization (yes, including Canada).
Pardon me for speaking frankly, but if Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld, in union with the NY Times, Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, etc. were not suppressing this vital information from the American people, you would not have needed either to do any google searches or to read any of my posts to discover the meaning of the word “Dajjal” and its import in Islamicist terrorism.
The people of America -- and all Western civilization -- ought to have been informed in September, 2001 that the Islamicists believe that we, all of us, collectively, are the “Dajjal” and that this gives them the right -- indeed, the duty -- to slaughter us by any means available.
We cannot properly defend ourselves against terrorism, nor properly plan strategy on how to overcome the terrorists or minimize the threat they pose, nor properly decide how to reform the nations of Afghanistan, Iraq, etc. when crucial information like this is withheld from the voting public.
Until that time that this all is public knowledge, I will do what little I can by being a sort of “walking sandwich billboard” man at FreeRepublic by sardonically taking the nickname and getting it in the public eye of at least the small but significant population of Freepers.
So I’ve chosen this as my FR nickname, with the attitude of “Yeah, right -- only a moron would think that I and my compatriots are the Dajjal!”
