[history]
HOTSHOT lawyer David Boies, who was humbled in Florida while representing Al Gore during the 2000 presidential recount, is undergoing another sour episode in the Sunshine State. The Florida Bar has filed an ethics complaint against Boies, charging him with violating bar rules by paying more than $400,000 in legal fees for a client his firm is representing in a Palm Beach County contract dispute.

"...if the state Supreme Court backs the Bar's ethics complaint."Hahahaha, the Florida Supreme Court thinks it's a legislative body. They'll just pass another "law" to let Boies off. Lewis will have to do the same thing Bush did.

I remember when Boies was touted as the nearest thing to Perry Mason there was. He was going to stride into the Supreme Court and show the world how law was supposed to be practiced.
Then I listened over the next week as he got bitchslapped all around the courtroom.
It was hilarious, especially with the liberal build-up.

HOTSHOT lawyer David Boies Bwaa ha ha! The guy that owns the gardening firm has been representing himself, and he's held David Boies at bay for 7 years. Now he's got Boies up on ethics charges. Al Gore shoulda hired the gardener instead. |

Boies seems pretty "friendly" with this woman. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

If Boies is married, he's liable to be facing divorce proceedings, too.

In a growing quantity of jurisdictions it's ALSO an ethics violation for an attorney to mix sex with legal representations.

Edward H. Wohl - his co-counsel in jewelry heir Bruce Winston's long legal feud with brother Ronald Winston - was suspended for 90 days earlier this year. Wohl had violated the law by paying off a witness. Buying a witness gets only a suspension?

C'mere look at what a bang up job your genius lawyer boy is doing. SCO should hire the gardener.

Didn't click on your url yet. We covered Boies and his lawn hinjinx on the Rush Limbaugh National Enquirer threads. Gore was a sore loser and so is Boies - what a cheap suit.

The legal battle between Amy Habie, owner of Nical of Palm Beach, Inc., and Scott and Carol Lewis of Scott Lewis Gardening & Trimming has been waging for seven years. The underlying dispute was settled in 1998, but post-settlement disputes continue over legal compliance issues.

Were you on those threads? (wink, wink)

And what did Boies get for his $400,000 help?

I was on the Rush threads with my tin foil hat on as well. Too bad Boies can't be thrown out of the ABA and the Florida Bar and ACTUALLY have to mow lawns to earn a living. Snakes always slither around the grass. Too bad Boies isn't Michael Schiavo's attorney. Then Terri would be enjoying life to the fullest right now.
