Kerry said he wanted to almost eliminate CIA activity. The CIA is fighting its own war in Laos and nobody seems to care. Red and black rivers ping.

Has anyone else noticed that the "honorable" John Kerry never seems to have left Vietnam. How come the honorable stopped at the discharge?

Kerrys 1970 remarks to Goldhaber portray a fiery, novice politician inspired by his opposition to the Vietnam War.
He struck me as very ambitious, Goldhaber said yesterday. He struck me as the sort of personeven back then, newly returned from Vietnamwho was thinking about running for president.
He probably thought the country would be completely Frenchified by now, eh?

The last time John Kerry had a patriotic thought was 1970. I don't question his patriotism -- I know it doesn't exist.

The last time John Kerry had a patriotic thought was 1970I think your kindness is a stretch.
This self-serving pr!ck served, but probably not from patriotism. It is much more likely it was with an eye to his own political future. Sure, he saw some combat duty, but it is unlikely it changed his already-made-up mind on The War. He was just getting his ticket punched, including gathering a string of purple hearts for wounds no worse paper cuts.
This man is nothing but an opportunist - always has been, always will be.
