"Kerry went, Bush did not"...That wasn't Bush's fault! He volunteered, the fact that they didn't send him, was the fault of the DEMOCRATIC President: LBJ---NOT Lt. GW Bush! Dems were making those decisions then. But, the fact is that the Air National Guard during the Vietnam War, was always subject to being called up, just like they are today.

Democrats have never been good at using their military wisely. A Democratic President: Truman, is the only person to order down Nuclear weapons on innocent civilians.

Since FDR, they just don't know how to use an army, and don't like to do the hard thing and use a CIA intelligently. A Democratic President: Carter was too weak to rescue American hostages.

Democrats just shouldn't be in charge of the military. They don't have the guts to make hard decisions that might go against the communist big money producers who support their political ambitions. They can not protect us. They leave us vulnerable to attack, like clinton did. He left our military weakened and diminished the numbers of agents in our intelligence community. This left us blind and deaf, and vulnerable to 9-11-01.

clinton use to lob in a few missles every now and then, killing civilians and not hitting any significant targets. He just couldn't do the hard thing, and do the job right. The money people wouldn't let him, and his base wouldn't support it. The media was happy to cover up his murderous missle attacks, and his mishandling in Mogadishu....but, if he would have done it right, like Bush did, they would have fried him.

Kerry loathed the military and their mission. Should a man be commander in chief when he threw his medals away? Kerry said that he wanted to gut the whole CIA agency.. He said so in the '70's and tried to do so, while in the legislature. Should he be allowed to appoint his radical war protester friends in charge of the CIA, FBI and all the other agencies charged with keeping us safe? God please forbid!

Democrats, love to portray Republicans as war mongers, but the fact is that Democrats JFK and LBJ got us into a big mess in Vietnam, and the Republican: Nixon, got us out!

A Republican President: Reagan, ended the cold war, without firing a shot. He brought home our American hostages.

And a Republican President has hamstringed terrorists, and has them on the run. He has kept us safe, prevented the total collapse of our economy when the "world trade centers" were destroyed, and he has built up the CIA, FBI and the military.

The guardsman is still guarding the USA, while the 8 week Vietnam Veteran and Vietnam protester is still protesting, and still hoping to hand our nation over to the United Nations....our Sovereignty for "peace".

Still, Adam Clymer ’58, political director of the National Annenberg Election Survey at the University of Pennsylvania, said Kerry’s comments would likely find their way into Bush campaign materials.

“If I were them, I’d use this,” said Clymer, a former Crimson president. “I’d use it in direct mail.”

Is this THE Adam Clymer?

Fact is, that a DEMOCRAT dropped the only nuclear bomb on innocent human beings. I don't care if that fact has "legs" or not, it is a fact. It is a fact that Kerry's good family friend, JFK and his VP LBJ got this nation deeply involved in Vietnam. Fact. Then these same Dems, turn around and blame the whole Vietnam mess on the Republicans! When the Republican, Nixon, got us out of it. Fact. Not going anywhere.

"As for Ronald Reagan "bringing our hostages home" -- if you mean the hostages in Iran, they were released just minutes after he took the oath of office in 1981. It would be a real stretch to give him credit for that no matter how badly Carter managed that situation."

Ronald Reagan brought those hostages home, because the terrorists who took them knew that Reagan would not be afraid to use our military in a very effective manner! Just the election of a Republican brought those hostages home.

Since when do draftee's get to choose where they will serve their duty? Nice try, but you are not fooling anyone. No, Bush Enlisted in the Guard in 1968, he wasn't drafted. The fact is, that Bush could have been called to Vietnam at any moment, just like any other guardsman, it wasn't his fault that he wasn't. You must be getting your talking points from Democrat sources....

But, you are "right" about something. The election won't be won by dwelling on the past. It will not be won by the Dems trying to keep the focus on Bush's military commitment of 30 years ago--and Kerry's "hero" status from that time period. It will be won, by Republicans, because of Bush's heroic military experience of the last 3 years, as Commander in Chief. He has very successfully commanded our military, and kept our economy from total collapse after a vicious attack. While Kerry has continued as a 'protestor' and tried to gut that military and put it under the command of the United Nations, just like he advocated 30 years ago.

Let's not dwell on the past, lets look at where we are NOW. We are in good hands, and to put the country into the hands of protesters would be a giant mistake. Americans know that.

In the interview with Robert Reicccchhhh, he made it clear that he has a false Marxist view of the Vietnam war as a "terrible" in which we were unpopular with the people of Vietnam as he distorts it, because we were on the wrong side of history. How do proto-Marxists such ss this get the blood of hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese whom we built up and then betrayed, much less our own good men whom they also betrayed as they insisted that we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory to satisfy their ideological worldview?

Kerry is SUCH a big target. We need president Bush to simply run around the country and do some sort of concert tour to entertain us! Use the money efficiently to get Bush away from D.C. He'd rather be somewhere else anyway. Have you noticed he is very cheerful after being somewhere else?
