If I've said it once, I've said it again... CFR has damaged conservatives and Republicans FAR worse than liberals for the sole reason that the media is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the DNC. Their influence and bias cannot keep going unnoticed and unchallenged by the GOP.

Bush's support as "the man" on terror is still twice that of Kerry, 51-27.

Exactly.
Clarke is a blip on the radar who is now in the process of being exposed for the liar he really is, and this new tactic of attacking Bush's strength is only going to backfire on the Dems.

What they are doing is making the war on terrorism and national security the central issues in this election...which will always benefit Bush more than Kerry.

I,too, have the gut feeling it's going to be 2000 all over again. However, if I can get this tin foil adjusted, I believed the POA poll. I STILL believe the POA poll and think Bush DID win by a landslide ,or at least by a sizable margin.

And there were a great many of us who were active in getting out the vote. Remember the "broken glass Republicans"? A lot of us voted early (just not often, multiple, dead, illegal aliens, felons, etc.)

The dems. have quite a fraud machine going. Watch all the polls coming out. Dead heat. Don't look for that to change even if the results are untrue. Just like 2000. NO ONE would have questioned a Gore (stolen) win based on those poll results. And they almost succeeded but for a miscalculation of a few hundred "votes". They begged for just a few more days to remedy that but were unable to bluster their way as per usual. Once again, Republican grassroots activists helped save the day. I don't know how much harder we could have worked.

There is just no way Kerry has a chance against Bush, just like Gore didn't. That doesn't stop the dems.,though. I'm afraid they won't make the same mistake this time and will make certain they have enough fraudulent votes with time to spare.Again, with all the "reliable(ha!)" polls showing a virtual dead heat, no one will question the "will of the people".

I expect we will all work just as hard if not harder this time around because so much is at stake. I'm just doubtful, even with the best of poll watching and the like, that we can make a dent in the dem. machine with its willing accomplices in the press. I hope to God I'm wrong.
That's my prayer, anyway.

THIS POLL OFFERS GREAT NEWS!

DESPITE the best efforts of the Kerry/DNC/Media cabal, Clarke has had ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT ON EITHER THE PRESIDENT'S APPROVAL RATINGS OR HIS MATCH-UP RATINGS VIS-A-VIS KERRY!

NEWSWEEK POLL

GWB Approval Ratings:
3/25-26/04 49% approve 45% disapprove
3/18-19/04 48% approve 44% disapprove
2/05-06/04 48% approve 45% disapprove
1/29-30/04 49% approve 44% disapprove
[Despite relentless adhominem attacks, the President's approval ratings have remained remarkably STABLE!]

GWB Favorability Ratings:
3/25-26/04 51% favorable 44% unfavorable
3/18-19/04 52% favorable 42% unfavorable
2/19-20/04 49% favorable 47% unfavorable

Match-Up with Kerry/Nader:
3/25-26/04 GWB 45% Kerry 43% Nader 5%
3/18-19/04 GWB 45% Kerry 43% Nader 5%

Took Terror Threat Seriously:
Bush Administration:
61% took seriously 34% did not take seriously
Clinton Administration:
26% took seriously 65% did not take seriously

Clark:
25% selfless public servant
50% pursuing a personal or political agenda
25% don't know (too clueless to form an opinion)

After Clark's testimony:
10% more favorable opinion of the President
17% less favorable opinion (recalcitrant leftists)
65% no difference

THE RESULTS OF THIS SURVEY ARE BUTTRESSED BY SIMILAR RESULTS FROM FOXNEWS/OPINION DYNAMICS AND RASMUSSEN! The former also found no change post-Clark relative to the President's approval/match-up ratings and the latter, while initially determining that the President's ratings had dipped (one bad night of polling), now indicates that the President's ratings are virtually the same as before Clark's testimony!

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/

The President has weathered Clarke, high fuel prices, stock market gyrations, increased Middle East violence, and contrived media controversies (e.g., the President's comments at the Broadcaster's dinner) AND HIS RATINGS HAVE REMAINED STABLE.

BOTTOMLINE: The President's support is rock solid (as is his Democrat opposition). The election will hinge on the 5-7% of voters who are genuinely unaffiliated and their perception of domestic/world events in October!

Wow! DrDeb - this is great news!!

I wondered what the deal was when I heard Kerry saying that President Bush should investigate Clarke.

He must have seen the numbers and realized it was already over. LOL!

Thanks, it's posted in my forum here I don't get a lot of traiff, but every little bit helps. I am real hard on Bush on a number of issues, so I like to support him where is right. Only fair.

The novel "The Spike" lays it out pretty well. Agents of influence are pervasive and pernicious.

Blow For Bush

For a second there, I thought Monica had made a return visit to the Oval Office. But a blow for Bush seems to be of a different character than a blow for Clinton.
