Actor Martin Sheen, primate researcher Jane Goodall, and local authors Barbara Kingsolver and Charles Bowden are joining the Tucson-based Center for Biological Diversity in asking the government to list 225 species as endangered.
The 1,000 pages of legal documents filed Tuesday - billed as the largest listing effort in the 30-year history of the Endangered Species Act - includes 31 species in the Southwest, seven off them in Arizona.
There are now 1,265 U.S. plants and animals listed under the Endangered Species Act, which can restrict land and water use

"there are now 1,265 US plants and animals listed under the endangered species act, which can restrict land and water use."
Yet we hear not a mention of a species that has been depleted by forty million over the past thirty years. Seems the species that determins which species are to be listed as endangered, is so far removed from the human species, that we don't matter to them.

Turner Foundation, Earth First, Workers of the World, and something that used to be called EarthLaw but they have a new name now.
EarthLaw used to be party of the UofDenver College of Law with support coming from the Colorado taxpayers but I don't think they knew. It no longer is now.

Where is the intire list?

SandRat is standing here looking over my shoulder. He says, "Yes! It's the Wobblies."
I say, they got part of their start right here in Bisbee in the copper mines. We tend to recognize their fingerprints when they show up.
MoveOn.org was covered in Wobbly fingerprints!

Your starting point is with the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Threatened and Endangered Animals and Plants page.
The various lists are accessed lower down that page, here.

I don't know, I was just responding to that statement in the Article.
It would be interesting to view that entire list though.
