I just heard, through the WLS AM (Chicago) internet stream a tribute to both Ronald Reagan and Ray Charles. It was terrific, hope they post it on their website. It was the Ray Charles rendition of "America" interspersed with quotes from Ronald Reagan. Should be a part of any patriotic salute to the United States.
Oh, they MUST post it. It will be the most-circulated email of the day if they do.
I look forward to hearing that.
I do too.
This morning I caught Imus playing "Hit The Road, Jack" by Ray Charles dedicated to Ronald Reagan.
A new low for Imus...
Please ping FR if this is posted! I want to down load and save! Thanks!
I love it when Ray Charles states in the song, "I love America!" If the people on the left felt the same way, a lot of our nations problems would disappear over night.
For an ex-Marine, Imus is lower than a snakes belly.
Ray had to leave us yesterday . . . he has a gig tonight.
It would help if everyone would go to the WLS link and email them requesting the song. They seem to be a pretty patriotic bunch over their. Particularly Don & Roma and Eileen Byrne. Go to the bottom of their webpage where it says Email us.
Bump
I'm hoping Jay and Eileen will play it during their program. Coming on now.
I just heard it too on WOWO out of Fort Wayne. Truly a fine tribute to both great Americans.
John Batchelor played it last night on WABC-770 New York, then Steve Malzberg played it twice during the night on his program on WABC. They said they found it on the internet, but I have yet to find it. Anyone???
Somebody please post a link to this song
Final BTTT.
There's a generation of kids out there (probably adults by now) that know Charles' version better than the old standard. I'm talking about the "I'm talking about ..." version. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

I suppose there are fears of the radio stations that they will be sued by the RIAA for providing downloads?
