It's not a "W." It is a "B."

I know, and SNAFU doesn't really mean "situation normal--all 'fouled' up" either. But this is supposed to be a family-friendly board; I bracketed the 'W' to make clear that other substitutions were possible.

After about 1500 parody songs, I don't think you will be able to discourage me. :)

Take Kerry to the convention
Where Bill Clinto is really the star
You know they really want him to lose
So that Hillary can go far

Take him out to Michigan
See him in a Rolls Royce
He'll tax you to death for a nanny state
Take so much you'll never get it back

So...send him back to Boston
Back to the graveyard where he belongs
If I want Lurch I'll watch TV Land
I don't want him screwing up my homeland

So send him to election day
Watch as he gets creamed
His party's leaders are all insane
Let's hope they never win the White House again
(At least not within my own lifetime!)

First of all, he only threw it forty feet because the government was supposed to fund the last 20. However, 65,000 Mississippians protested Haley Barbour cutting them off Medicaid which raised there premiums from $1 to 3$ a month and the money was funneled to the state legislature instead of the opening pitch. As for the boos, it must have been free admission for Catholics night. Apparently baby murder is a touchy subject. Another possibility is that it was not the fans that were booing, but the employees of Fenway Park. Even without a college degree, many of the "beer men" realized that if Kerry increased the minimum wage, they would be let go. Come to think of it, the fans were booing this as well, as they have no desire to leave their seats for a frosty beverage, which they should never have to do. I never leave my seat for a beer when I make it to Wrigley, and Chicago can be as liberal as Mass. Of course, this could be a great oversight by all of us. Maybe the fans are still booing Afleck for Gigli.

"...nightmarish Kerry presidency that would expect a CIC to toss support to the troops, but have it never quite get there?"

Sounds like a good Bush ad in there somewhere.

He is supposed to be a big Sox fan

Yes, he rooted for the Sox, before he rooted against them.

Look at the size of the butt on this so-called athlete! And he can't throw a ball sixty feet? I'm a slender woman and I can throw a ball sixty feet. There's a word for a man who is like this, and it's a bit stronger than "girly-man."

For the purposes of comparison, someone please post that famous picture of our president putting one hard and fast over the plate in New York just after 9-11. There was an act of athleticism as well as sheer physical courage. He looked like a man when he was doing it, too.

They may have, but this is his home turf. He is supposed to be a big Sox fan. Aren't they supposed to love him here?

Too be honest, I've watched a lot of Yankees-Red Sox games, and heard a lot of booing, and this was not the most boos I've ever heard at a game (the worst would be Roger Clemens in the 1999 playoffs, with last year's ALCS Game 3 a close second.) But this game was packed with Democratic delegates, and it's not only in Kerry's home state, but home town! The fact that the boos equaled the cheers speaks volumes about how much Kerry is "loved" in Boston.

Kerry is bragging about his muscles and recalling the day that he threw a baseball an astounding 50 feet.
