I am truly puzzled after looking the photos you posted.
Is one supposed to eat it, or bronze & frame the "food"???
Some of those "food sculptures" look like eating them would be a cross between playing "Pix-Pix, Pick-Up Stix" and Jenga.
As to 'posh' or 'tony' I couldn't say for certain, but it does seem to try for that impression.
And, unless I'm at a one-price, all you can eat buffet, when I see a menu without prices listed, my wallet starts telling me to get out while I can.

I also don't think average Americans know where yacht clubs are located. But Kerry does. Because he is better than the rest of us.

"Bimmer" is a brain-deadeningly stupid coinage which I refuse to recognize. The brand name is pronounced bee-em-dubya, not bim-whatever Yeah, I know what you mean. I bought a (used) BMW and started visiting a chat room so that I can maintain it and learned that little tidbit of info. Both terms are too yuppie for me, I just call it a BMW.

If I understand correctly, BMWs and Mercedeses both are uber-expensive to maintain through dealers and service stations, so you are to be congratulated.
