By the way, The author of this piece Paul Mulshine is not a Conservative. He is a liberal who pretends he is a conservative only to stir up trouble.

This idiot also claims that Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are not real Conservatives either

Yep - time to brush up on our Spanish, or whatever other group wishes to waltz across our borders...what a joke is this war on terriers.

I disagree with Bush on this issue, but I'm not about to vote for Kerry (or for that matter, waste my vote by voting Constitution or Libertarian either).

There is time and room to change the stance of the Party from within on this note.

Oh, and you mean to tell me that because he disagrees with you on any one issue he's automatically a liberal?

I'd strongly suggest you check your definitions.

Jim, since Keyes is off limits, how about doing something about posts that call GW a liberal and a liar? With Republicans like this, who needs Democrats?

Yeah well what else is knew. Bush has got his faults but I will still vote for him, just like Keyes in Illinois.

I think its about the Dems and Repubs. They both are taking us to hell but the Repubs will get us there slower. Gives us time to try and turn the ship around. Sooo GO w.

Remember our new motto: BETTER MEXICAN THAN MUSLIM

There's a million crazy things here." The craziest is the failure of the Bush administration to secure the borders almost three years into the so-called War on Terror.

EXACTLY!

The two party cabal has left us as usual with only two choices...

One of them is absolutlely abysmal....

Conservatives have a better chance at conservative politicans than they do at left wingers
and the wing controlling the dems is Waaaay out there...

So elect GW and as many Conservatives in the legislature and in state govt as you can...then put the pressure on GW after the election....

Cease fire until after GW is in...then full speed ahead....with pressuring him to be a real conservative...

imo

Conservatives want it both ways. A surefire way to know if someone is here illegally, especially around a voting booth, but absolutely no national identification to prove it.

Hispanics are the second biggest block of voters, and a fair number already vote GOP because of their personal beliefs in working hard and keeping what you earn. This is a bone to those voters, and also portends to be a boon to the party in general.

Legally or illegally, most come here to pursue the American dream. If I was a poor Mexican or Honduran or El Salvadoran living with 6 others in a cardboard box in a mudpatch I'd come here for work too if I could. Have a little empathy for the people trying to take their families out of poverty, a poverty which is nearly totally beyond their control back home, through doing hard thankless work here.

I looked at the article, but there's no link to the platform. I will hold my opinion until I can read it for myself, since I don't hold much stock in what opinion columnists have to say.

Over 200 post for a crap thread. Well done.

Protected by both parties.

Sad but true. GWB needs to wake up and see that these illegals will mostly vote democratic if given the chance.

BTW. Our grass gets cut by my son or myself. Wouldn't have it any other way.

If you say you do. Maybe we should examine your credentials when you choose to call the President a liar, and match them against his.

It wont matter which party wins in the long run if Rove has his way and turns this county into a world state. Every amnesty immigrant by federal law will be allowed to vote thus diluting our votes in the long run should this party’s new platform be allowed to take hold and they win. Offering citizenship to every person the planet, suggests that US citizenship has no more advantage accept than being forced to pay taxes to the majority of the worlds workers so that only a few can benefit from cheep labor. Collecting taxes for more social services and diluting the political voice of the citizen is not a republic value, but then things have changed as amnesty being part of the platform does just that!

The illegal immigrants will work for nothing because their living expenses are being paid for (socialism is not a republican value), and they will vote solicits-republic in 2008 cause they are being offers amnesty in 2005, that is Roves grand plan. Slavery and plantations ended in the civil war, communism failed, but these geniuses planning the future of the republican party perhaps just forgot their history, how else can anybody explain such poor vision?

Unless this party turns back to its conservative base their own demise will be unstoppable regardless if we vote wisely. By the diluting of our votes from the registration of these new comers, every legal US citizen in the long run will have less and less representation and less and less of a political voice. Throwing away things (votes) that amount to nothing is justifiable; ...at least here in the southwest...

I can't stand that Bush hasn't responded to the illegal immigrant issue and that our borders are wide open...but then again, what's the alternative? sKerry and "Silky Pony"?

Do you have a link for official platform info? I don't have the time to read this entire thread to see if someone posted a link. Would like to check out both platforms -- to compare and send to friends. I don't think most people ever look at the core values of the two parties. And it's my belief that most people would be mortified to see how the 'RAT platform actually goes against much of what they believe.

That said, this is one of the few areas about which I strongly disagree with the President. Most of my friends feel the same way. One friend, who has been a conservative longer than I've been alive, said she's going to have to hold her nose this election and vote straight Republican, which probably says more about Congress than it does about GW, but nevertheless. I suspect a lot of conservatives are feeling the same way.

On Sept 10, 2001, I wrote the President an email detailing why I was against yet another amnesty. The next day I noticed the amnesty program took a back seat to the horror of the day. Too bad it's coming back to the forefront.

I'll vote for Bush, but with a few strong reservations -- especially this issue, which I consider pandering.

The other issues are tort reform, educational vouchers, and conservatives judges.

Thanks if you can get me the link to platforms and may God bless America.

Yah, but the good news is that since he is only president, not "premier for life", he does not get to make laws on his own!

So we must be damn sure to elect as many truly conservative members of congress as possible, in order to restrain the confused tendencies of our parties would be ruling elite.

Only 25?

You must have been at an AM-PM or Mini-Mart!

I used to install computer systems all over the world, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Italy, U.K., etc.
I never visited another country where I felt as much like a foreigner as I do right here in the U.S. any time I go to Wall-Mart!

Of course I was welcome in the countries I worked, and my host spoke English or had good interpreters. Neither of which is particularly true of the shoppers or staff at Wall-Mart.
