I still maintain that it would be better to have CBS do it. They will be afraid to try anything sneaky, and if they do, it will backfire.

I'm with you on this one. Let the commie moderate the debate.

We'll be watching every single nuance, intonation, gesture, and mannerism coming from this "journalist."

You only can deceive some people all the time. After all this publicity, the American people will have their CBS meter ready for this debate.

I think that Bob Schieffer should be the debate "moderator". I've noticed that the public reacts negatively to perceived bias (on the part of the questioner) than to the substance of the debate. Hence, it is to Bush's advantage to have a leftwing idiot like Schieffer doing the questioning.

IMHO, Mike Savage should moderate the first debate. And Don Imus the second. And Dr. Laura the third, if there is a third.

But first, the President Bush campaign should insist sKerry release ALL his military records along with his and his wife's tax returns for the last five years before beginning to discuss the terms of debate.

I sent the following to seeBS:

---Hi,

It is my opinion that you must withdraw from moderating the upcoming Presidential debates. CBS as a news organization has no credibility at all. Dan Rather is involved in a criminal conspiracy to influence this very federal election by fraudulent means.
Under the circumstances if CBS were to say the sky was blue, I would have to look outside to verify the fact.
Not only have many fine careers been prematurely ended and the reputation of a once great news organization tarnished by this scandal and the attempt to whitewash it, but criminal indictments are sure to follow in the fullness of time.
To quote Cicero:

"When, O Catiline, do you mean to cease abusing our patience? How long is that madness of yours still to mock us? When is there to be an end of that unbridled audacity of yours, swaggering about as it does now?"

Withdraw sirs and leave us in peace!---

The mailbox is full. So I waited for the attendant to pick up the line and told him to put on another tape. I also told him that in light of CBS's attempt to smear the President using forged documents that CBS could no longer be considered a fair and unbiased moderator for the debate. He thanked me for the call.

Thanks. I used the email address to bust their chops. Their behavior borders on treason. They are trying to smear The President with forged documents while we are at War. At a minimum Dan Rather should resign and CBS exclude itself voluntarily from participating in any way in the upcoming Presidential Debates.
