My theory on this is the media really hated the fact that they were compelled by the people to cover the funeral of Ronald Reagan that they had to give their beloved president equal time.

Especially when his wife (who's also making the TV rounds, including Larry King and Greta Van Susteren) may run for his old job. Uh, Howie...it's not a job, it's an office.

I'm beginning to wonder whether clinton will cease to play a starring role in the media even after he's dead, let alone after he left the presidency.

After all, it took about 30 years for JFK to fade away as a media icon. Clinton may not cease pestering us until all his admirers are dead too.

But I don't remember anything like all this live coverage when Bush 41 opened his library, do you?

No Howie, of course we don't. But this is typical of the media. They are democrats and love to cover this stuff to generate interest in the public. They are still mad that they had to cover the Reagan funeral since there was a general, sincere interest by America.
