Barbi Weiner, a third grade teacher currently on disability, is suing the Republican party for having taken an active role in returning George Bush to the White House, a circumstance that resulted in Ms. Weiner suffering a nervous collapse last Nov.8th as she crossed West 72nd Street. "I looked up and saw the WestSideWaffle! sign with its big red 'W’s,'" she says. "And I realized it was true – he won. Then I started thinking about my life and I realized that I couldn’t go on living in a country where a war-mongering baby-killer holds the highest office in the land. I guess I lost it."

I have mixed emotions.

Part of me is outraged at the state of tort law in Murrica.

Part of me is overjoyed that the election caused (yet another) liberal to have a complete nervous breakdown.

:o)

Last name Weiner, lives in New York. I wonder if she's related to Michael Savage?

After I win this suit I’m going to go after all the people who voted for this war criminal. If voting for a terrorist doesn’t violate the Patriot Act, I don’t know what does."

LOL. While it is a satire it is still too close to the truth! I get a kick out of reading the local letters to the editor. They are still clueless.

Worthy of a Rush Ping, since he has covered this topic several times. This lady is a certifiable loon.

Nobody is this ridiculously stupid. Not even a Democrat.

This article's a satire, but oh yes they are. You're not on PJ-Comix' DUmmie FUnnies list, are you?

Its probably satire, but by choosing the name of the teacher there may have been a unconscious connection made by the writer!

Barbara Weiner is staff attorney with the Greater Upstate Law Project, Inc., specializing in poverty law issues, since August of 1990. Admitted to practice in California in 1976 and in New York in 1982, she has spent most of her legal career with legal services programs, both in New York and in California. Prior to joining GULP, Ms. Weiner was employed by the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York, Inc., a field legal services program serving six upstate counties around the tri-cities area of Albany, Schenectady and Troy. As a staff attorney, she represented low income clients in a variety of poverty related cases, including challenges to reductions or terminations of public assistance and the representation of low income tenants in both public and private housing. She also served as legal counsel in various impact law cases, including a challenge to the application practices of a local social services district. Ms. Weiner has developed an expertise in Food Stamps and in immigrant access to public benefits

You're right - satire. I pinged the article after reading it from the frontpagemag site, but before I read the comments. I guess I'm just so used to the whackiness of the left, that I believed it.
