Hmm... and of course the farther you go back, the errors increase exponentially.
Apparently when they were coming up with the technique they threw out the equilibrium factor which says the earth can't be more than 30,000 years old (at which point equilibrium is reached) - because they KNEW it was older than that.
Not surprising.
