DFU SONG: Bottle of Wine (Michael Jackson will hit gold with this one)
DFU SONGS | 3-2005 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

MIDI - BOTTLE OF WINE

Bottle of wine...that will do fine
Kids are fun when they are not sober
We will have fun...it's just begun
Mom and dad, let them sleep over

I have things planned...here at Neverland
When I have the chance, hands go down their pants
They love me 'cause I am famous
What kind of parent let's them stay here
The kind who just can never think clear

Bottle of wine...that will do fine
Kids are fun when they are not sober
We will have fun...it's just begun
Mom and dad, let them sleep over

Though they may talk...I know I will walk
Just one OJ juror I'm needing, needing
My lawyer's hot...Mark Geragos, not
I'm glad he is not the one pleading

Usually naked, always aroused
I'm sure they find it impressive
I make my point, and don't have to shout
It's easy, I just let it hang out

Bottle of wine...that will do fine
Kids are fun when they are not sober
We will have fun...it's just begun
Mom and dad, let them sleep over

Bottle of wine...that will do fine
Kids are fun when they are not sober
We will have fun...it's just begun
Mom and dad, let them sleep over

Bottle of wine...that will do fine
Kids are fun when they are not sober
We will have fun...it's just begun
Mom and dad, let them sleep over

Mom and dad, let them sleep over
Mom and dad, let them sleep over

Dang, Doug! If you remember that particular song, you must be a whole lot older than me. LOL!

Takes me back to my high school days. I guess I was about 16. 1966?

Great job on the song, as usual. Got some good laughs...

Hi SN -- yes, unfortunately I was around and listening to the radio when that was out. As you may recall, about four years previously, under the name Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs, they had a big hit with "Sugar Shack" and a lesser one called "Daisy Petal Pickin'." Other songs from around the same time as "Bottle Of Wine" (late 1967) were "Incense and Peppermints" and "Daydream Believer" and "Hello Goodbye." I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, but I remember that. Sad, isn't it?
