It might be nice to think liberalism is dead but if that were really true then we wouldn't be fighting tooth and nail against liberals on every single issue.

Dracula was dead too, but he wreaked a lot of havoc.

"Even though [David Rosenthal is] a crazy lefty nut, were good friends."
And even though James Carville is a crazy lefty nut, she married him.
Liberal friends are one thing; I can't imagine a liberal husband.

No kidding! How she tolerates Carville, much less made a couple of kids with him, is beyond me.

Well, I think my publisher really figured this out before ol' Mary. S&S is copycatting Penguin's bold stand when it decided to launch a conservative imprint two years ago and feature Mona Charen and our book as the two leaders in the new Sentinel line.
IMHO, the ONLY mistake they have made is the logo: the brass made them put a lantern in the "Sentinel'S" hand instead of a musket!!

I am particularly impressed with the title NEWSWEEK gave to the article:
Q&A: Mary Matalin on Shilling for Bush, Cheney
Naturally, the MSM isn't biased.

"Liberalism is dead"? If it is dead why do we have to put up a fight every election yr?
To: RWR8189
Liberalism is far from dead. Conservatives are getting their voices heard more than ever, but liberals still control the courts, acedemics and more, PC is alive and well, there is still a graduated income tax, social security is maybe going to be "reformed", not killed. Christians on juries result in mistrials, treason committed by Democrats results in a slap on the wrist while Martha Stewert is sent to jail for a non-treasonous lie..............etc

I also agree. I don't think liberalism will ever die. Liberalism thrives on envy and sloth, and there will always be plenty of voters who are driven by these baser instincts.

We need to stop thinking of the Left as "Liberals". Michael Moore believes the Sharia-Staters are the Minutemen. There's nothing liberal about that. They need a new name.

I don't think any one off author is defining. If Conservatism has a guiding voice it eludes me.
