Getting rich really quick: $1 from every American
WorldNetDaily ^ | 12-28-2005 | Joe Kovacs

A pair of 26-year-old roommates from Texas are looking to cash in on the American dream by simply asking every person in the nation to send them a dollar, and have created a website called GiveUsABuck.com to reach a potential goal of $300 million. ...

"Wouldn't it be great if every person in the United States gave us one buck? If you could get every person, then that would be $300 million," Rob Momary said. "Everybody's had this idea, but no one's really done it to make it work. If we only get 1 percent, that's still $3 million, which is not bad."

They would probably get a low better response if they asked for a penny from everyone. That would be $3 million. But hey, what's with a little greed.

And WHY in the WORLD would I WANT TO help make them RICH??

So they can sit back and laugh about how dumb we were to do this while they get to enjoy the fruits of not any labor?

They need to get a job and make their own dollars and stop mooching off America!!!

They have "LAZY" written all over them.

This is why cutting govt. spending is so hard.

Why for only $1 per person we could raise $300 million FOR THE CHILDREN.

After they have gotten the dollar, they repeat the process again and again and again so that now for only $8000 dollars per person, we have our govt.

You can probably get at least a few million (at a buck a pop) if you tell the millions of gullible intenet users that some sort of bad luck will surely come their way if they don't fork out the dough.

There was a 20-something female a couple of years back who hosted a website asking donors to send her money to help get her out of debt. I think she had well over $20,000 in credit card debt (avid shopper) and there were quite a few donations that got her about half way out.

Congress needs to make a law demanding 75 cents of every dollar - cause no one should be that rich.

The old "Help Karen" movement at least had the veneer of helping a struggling woman out of debt with her "I'll never do it again!" paen. These are guys are worse: "Just gimme da money!"

I see no reason why that should happen. There is no scam here. They are simply asking you to send them a dollar. No promises made. As long as the income is reported at the end of the year & taxes paid, the feds should not care.
