A popular photo on Free Republic shows a Grim Reaper with a skull and proclaims "Islam - It's the Evil of our Time, let's NOT leave it for our children".
I've never seen this, and I spend plenty of time on FR. Any FReepers remember this?

Steven Leser is a freelance journalist specializing in Politics, Science & Health, and Entertainment topics. He has held positions within the Democratic Party including District Chair and Public Relations Chair within county organizations.
That right there should disqualify him as a journalist. He's a propagandist - but then most journalists are these days.

I think this one is more popular, actually. The author must've missed it.

That's what first came to mind when I read the article.

All of the posts the guy linked to were fine..
I guess he wanted us to scroll down through 300 posts to find one or two wise-crackers. Feh..

An Islamic Republic of Iraq would be unconstitutional under the current Iraqi constitution. So, the future depends on whether Iraq follows liberalism, which means Iraq ignores its constitution, or is more conservative.

It'd take 2-3 posts to find something equally offensive to us at DU. Freedom of speech is a pain, isn't it Mr. Leser? I'm sure you'd like to remedy that.

Iraq will be acceptable if they don't advance terrorism. (That means any form of support, direct or indirect.)
If muslims wish to live in an islamic republic, let them be. They must remain peaceful.
If otherwise, whack 'em again until they understand.
One country at a time.

Everyone knows that Saddam's hate and racist regime is an aka for Islamic insitution, whatever the sectarian differences. Everyone knows we out West emancipated ourselves from the Church too.
It's liberals who are racist irrational irresponsible hypocrites and who want to ally with Islamics or Saddam into a socialist institution of government cynicism and human irresponsability for the other, let alone foreigners, in total racism.
Thus yet another "hell is the other" Sartre-an racist hypocrite liberal calling pot black, wishing to be part of the pedophile possessive gang preventing free competition and access to better things than themselves.
Iraqis can emancipate themselves from Islam just as we did from the church... so why do liberals want us to go back to the Church? Why blame us for wishing to nuke? Hypocrites them!

I like your picture gallery, and have many of the same ones in my files.
As for Islam, I'm sure many of the followers/believers are very nice people. As for Mohammed, yeah, he sounds like a bad dude, and I wonder if his Satanic Verses were the entire Koran.

Invariably, any discussion of Islam on these websites involves description of Muhammad as a pervert and a pedophileIsn't this an established fact??

I favor freedom for the middle east so that they may eventually leave the swamp that is islam. That evil cult has had a stranglehold there for 14 centuries too many it is time it had some competition and eventually some brave souls will see that there is life beyond the pedophile profit's (pigs be upon him) death cult.

All I remember seeing (after noting that this youngster gravitates to the s-e-x threads) is Morgan Fairchild vs. Madeline Albright. Yeah, that's the ticket!
