Forgive me, I have the world's slowest connection tonite.
I like your picture gallery, and have many of the same ones in my files.
Yes, I walked around all of X42's regime and said, "What the HECK do they see in that old bloated @#$%%?
Invariably, any discussion of Islam on these websites involves description of Muhammad as a pervert and a pedophile
Isn't this an established fact??
As for Mohammed, yeah, he sounds like a bad dude, and I wonder if his Satanic Verses were the entire Koran.
Yeah, I thought this youngster ("youth?") would have commented before this on the subject. On a real website. That has real news. Not this "OpEd" site where they seemed to have given this boy the keys over the holidays.

I believe you're right on the mark Paladin2.
Since that pesky Freedom of Speech thing prevents them from actually silencing the bloggers, the next best thing is to discredit them with lies and distortions.
It's a standard political tactic. One perfected by the liberal.

Starbase has assembled a list of propaganda techniques you might find interesting. You'll find each one used with abandon by the media (and other leftists) on a daily basis.

In any case, the Republican electorate is virulently anti-Islam and that is a shame. Most practitioners of Islam that I have had the pleasure to know are wonderful, law abiding and hard working people.Since 9-11 I have been hoping in vain for someone to show me one single aspect of Islam that doesn't totally disgust me.
From what I have seen, there are only three types of Muslims -- murderous Islamist fascists, enablers of murderous Islamist fascists, and lapsed Muslims.
Perhaps the author of this screed hangs around with the latter group. In any event, we need a lot more of those types.
It is certainly possible to hope for democracy in Iraq and still believe that Islam at its core is an evil doctrine. That doesn't mean there aren't good people also who were born into Islam and nominally practice it because of peer and family pressure.

I favor freedom for the middle east so that they may eventually leave the swamp that is islam. That evil cult has had a stranglehold there for 14 centuries too many it is time it had some competition and eventually some brave souls will see that there is life beyond the pedophile profit's (pigs be upon him) death cult.
YES!! I think people ALL OVER this world can come to this conclusion, once they're LET OFF THE PLANTATION to see what's really available to them out there. And the Democrat water-carriers KoolAid drinkers don't want to let this happen

[most remembered for establishing a radical Islamic Republic in Iraq.]
Do any of the liberal left realize that Arab nations are Islamic and Islamic nations kill all people, subjugate women, dispise all free nations and have the intent to destroy them..

The ACTIONS of Islam are diametrically opposed to the WORDS of Islam.
The left is childish and naive enough to take people at their word.
Iraq must yet prove itself as well as the entire world of Islam.
I belive their "good guys" should have said a little more after the recent elections about how good life is here, etc., IMO.
It actually should have been since 9/11, but we'll take all the good PR they can give--like Betty did.

Consider me to be one of those hypocrite's. When one of your loved ones has been targeted in the name of Allah, one tends to get a jaded view of Muslims.

"Well, then, they need to speak out against the fanatical extremists who are hijacking their religion."
You nailed it! Instead of the West having to bend over backwards to try to understand Islam and Muslims better, why don't these "wonderful, law abiding and hard working people" try to convince me that Islam is a Religion of Peace? If it's such a small minority who are giving the religion a bad name, why doesn't the vast majority rat them out and stop them?
We all know the answer.

THANK YOU, backhoe!! (Anyone ever call you "hoe" for short? Nah, I didn't think so, either.) Well, actually, yes- sometimes as an abbreviation, and then, on other occasions I suspect it had a ruder meaning...

An Islamic Republic of Iraq would be unconstitutional under the current Iraqi constitution. So, the future depends on whether Iraq follows liberalism, which means Iraq ignores its constitution, or is more conservative.IMO President Bush's experiment in Iraq is worth the cost regardless of the outcome, because we will know definatively whether Arabs/Muslims are able to embrace democracy. If they go the way of the terrorist supporting theocratic state, then we will know to deal with them much more harshly next time they step over the line and kill Americans.
To: Watery Tart
Did this person forget the Master Plan? "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity". We're only in Phase II right now.

Sheesh. I clicked on your link and SKIMMED his hurls. Now I have to wonder why this youngster was given a computer and a connection. And why he isn't being monitored by his mom (oh yeah, beer).
This kid should call back after he's had a job for a few months.
