This op-ed.com web site is nothing more than a collection of conspiracy theories, "rigged voting machines" and Republicans are Nazis crap. They are so far out on the lunatic fringe, one of their articles complain that NPR is too pro republican.

I would wager more people have read the nutjob's article after it was posted on FR than did before. You've probably trippled traffic to the lunatic website as well.

Kinda sounds like DimunitiveUnderparts, no?

The diachotemy is the result of ignorance and intolerance.

In between the Arab bashing there are posts by several knowledgeable FReepers who have experience with real arab people and post favorable comments.

No amount of knowledge however can overcome the religous intolerance that is the hall mark of the very right.

Do you REALLY want my opinion of this writer?

Well, if you want to consider him a writer, we have to change the expectations....
;o)

And thanks for the pic of the grumpy cat, MEG. Sometimes my cat has that expression.

The article's author commits the same type of grouping together of people in naming, attributing the faults of a few to the entire group, and then hating his convoluted construct, that he attacks in his criticism. The only difference is that he attacks others for attacking Islam, while he applies the same method he hates against conservatives.

It's that whole broad-stroke-reckless-generalization-lazy-categorizing they're so used to misusing. And let's not forget how they project THEIR party's traits on us.

I don't like "nuke mecca" posts. Period, full stop. Even there, I can't argue with the need for a big can of whoop-ass. The other criticisms in that sloppy piece are not so clean-cut. I don't agree with the black-and-white condemnation of Islam nor of homosexuality per se, but in both cases, there is room for criticism of actual behavior in the present day.

"I get the feeling that most Republicans secretly feel this way."

Really objective, isn't he. Most real authors base their screeds on facts, not feelings. Oops, he's a liberal, isn't he.

IIRC, I seem to remember that the "Beltway Sniper" reporters (after they could no longer blame this crime on white, Christian "right-wing extremists," of course), had a rough time saying that the name "John Allen Muhammad" when it came up.

Now this jerk loses all credibility by resorting to name calling.

Which is why I peg his age at about fourteen. Next month.

This vermin slams FReepers for their views on Islam. In the same article he says that when the practitioners of Islam rule the country after Democratic elections, women and children will be oppressed. Sounds like he doesn't have much faith in Islam either.

Well, some Freepers do swing pretty wildly at whatever target presents itself, and some -- most -- don't. The Left has a problem handling diversity.

Calm down people, this OpEdNews.com is a commie blog, oops 'progressive' blog, run by a moonbat named Rob Kall. PeeWee Herman's website probably gets more hits. And the article by this so-called 'freelance journalist' is just a posting by one of their raving moonbat members dressed up as 'journalism'.

Here's some excerpts of the 'hate mail' they get, pretty good stuff IMO:

The Daily Kos has more legitimacy than this waste of bandwidth.

" ... they talk about every practicing Muslim and everyone of Arab descent as if they were a member of Al Qaeda and an animal."

There certainly are Freepers who talk that way, and it's shameful. Muslims and Arabs are people who need the truth and the blessings of freedom and democracy. Many Arabs and Muslims have shown great courage and nobility.

Steven the Lesser is quite delusional there.
Best part is where he claims that everyone is advocating nuking all Muslims.
It seems that in his haste to get his story by trolling and leaving quickly, he forgot to note that everyone here has their own opinions and not everyone advocates nuking all Muslims.
Of course, such observations are beyond his skill and mental acuity it seems.

*chuckle*
