RALEIGH, N.C. — Army officials are investigating allegations that members of the celebrated 82nd Airborne Division appear on a gay pornography Web site, a spokeswoman said Friday.
Authorities at Fort Bragg have begun an inquiry into whether the paratroopers' actions violated the military conduct code.
Division spokeswoman Maj. Amy Hannah declined to say how many paratroopers are involved or identify their unit within the division. A defense official speaking on condition of anonymity said up to seven soldiers are involved.
Hannah said soldiers questioned will be allowed to seek legal assistance, but she declined to say if any one had been charged.
"Once the investigation is complete, the chain of command will take appropriate action," Hannah said.
The military-themed Web site does not appear to make any direct reference to the 82nd Airborne or Fort Bragg. The registered owner of the Web site's domain name lists an address in Fayetteville, the city that adjoins Fort Bragg.

I think there was a mess when we got here...
If shown to be knowingly involved in this, they should be seriously disciplined. But I don't see any reason punishment should be any harsher than when guys get caught doing other stupid things.
I have an intense urge to snark, but I don't wanna get deleted for the first time! (except when at my request)
Once again, the actions of a few may slam the ENTIRE unit--the majority of soldiers aren't part of this, I hate to see their names being dragged through the mud too! :*(

As an organization they're gonna have a hard time living this one down.
I dunno whats in the water lately. But, they didn't teach that crap in Ranger School. He must have took the Ranger Buddy thing too serious.
I Dunno if this guy was from te 82nd, but Clay seemed to like him.

They may have violated the second part of 'don't ask, don't tell'. In any event, it is an assault on morale, good order and discipline. They may get by with a general discharge.
Looks like another article about this. Military needs to change "don't ask, don't tell" into "ask, and if it's the wrong answer, show 'em the door".
