Apparently, if a Republican president wants to ALMOST win an election, he should sharpen his veto pen.

I can tell you, if the e-mail and snail-mail traffic I receive is any indication, lots and lots of people are telling me they do not intend to vote in the 2006 election

Who exactly are sending these emails??

There are many so-called conservatives that call into Rush's show also

Republicans would be in trouble if they had to run against any other party. People will say that they are staying home until the reality hits, that a Democrat might be elected. They will then limp to the polls.

The message is getting out that a Dem takeover of the House will result in impeachment. This is good, the country is in no mood for impeachment. The Dems will not take over the House or Senate in 06.

I'm voting Rebulican in November. RINO or no, the control of the House and Senate are too important.

And every Senate pickup weakens the RINOs and the rest of the "gang of 14" swingers.

BS. More "Do stuff we like or we will stay home" from the usual whiners. Utterly stupid for anyone to by forecasting this far in advance of an election. This is all based on Bush JA number. Only problem is the JA numbers are bunk. The polling firms switched to polling anyone over 18 with NO reference to likelihood of voting. 50% or more of them will not vote. They also significant increased the number of Dems/Indy to Repbs ration. Most of them have not even started paying attention.

Also, fantasy perfect Democrat running against known Repb is ALWAYS going to win. Prob for the Dem is they have to open their mouths once the campaign starts. But hey, everyone panic. It is better for us when Conservatives work like they are 20 points behind.

If Bush is impeached (which I seriously doubt), I will move to Canada or France or somewhere.

Some days I really hate Dems.

A Clueless analysis.

The Conservative movement will crush the libs in 2006 because Stevens and Ginsburg are on life support and our military is at war.

Conservatives need to stop being lazy by relying on FAKE polls of non-voters and MSM Spin.

My old tagline was "FAKE POLLS DO NOT TRANSLATE INTO REAL VOTERS".

My new tagline is more fitting for the Saul Rosenberg whimpers of weak Conservatives.

Scary article...but, most of it I agree with...

I am not so sure that Republicans are as prone to have the war in Iraq keep them from voting Republican..or staying home.

I think we have more stick-to-itiveness than that...plus, the Vietnam War memories are still pretty strong...and we wouldn't want these troops to come home as the result of a retreat...instead of a mission accomplished.

The rest...I can see his points...

The Republicans are really looking into a butt kicking this fall. It would even be worse if the democrats has any kind of leadership. They clearly don't. But even so, this big spending president and congress will suffer due to is hypocritical spending such as: No vetoes of spending bills, tax breaks to Nascar track owners, cuts to students and elderly while giving subsidies to dairy farmers, and nothing done on immigration.

What difference is there between the democrats and the republicans? I wonder if George Wallace was right when he said there wasn't a dime's worth of difference between the two parties.

First, there is the Federal Judiciary. Justice Clarence Thomas told me at the White House swearing in of Justice Samuel J. Alito, Jr., "He [Alito] never would have made it through a Judiciary Committee controlled by liberals."

What more incentive do you need to vote this fall? The way to maintain political pressure is to demonstrate your power positively, rather than sitting home and cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Immigration is huge, but it will not improve if we set at home and let the proponents of a perpetual welfare state take over so we can make a point.
