I love GWB and Laura for many reasons, but I am ready for new conservative blood to lead the GOP. No McLame, and no more Bushes.

I respect and admire them too. However, I do believe that they may think government can be "compassionate" in service in they private charities and churches are to those they help. They would be wrong. Governments are instruments of blunt force. You must follow the edicts of bureaucrats are pay heavily. They have the monopoly on the use of legalized force. What we need are leaders with a Warrior mindset to know that government is a "necessary evil" and not an instrument to do plunder one to help another. It is easy to see where those in power "think" they can do good. Their actions often results in unintended misery for many. How wonderful it would be for our leaders to heed the warnings of our Founders. How great it would be to have leaders like Coolidge, who knew it wasn't the place of government to be "charitable" with taxpayers money. I see absolutely no way that our Republic can be saved from those who will propel it towards a decaying Socialist hell.

I'm pleased that Republicans and Democrats in the United States Senate are working together to get a bipartisan comprehensive energy bill -- let me start over. I'm pleased that Republicans and Democrats in the United States Senate are working together to get a comprehensive immigration bill.

You know, I swear that there are times that I'm truly embarrassed to admit that I voted for this bumbling, incoherent idiot.

He's not an idiot. He is just dead wrong and not conservative in some very important areas.

I want to know who is going to be taking names and making sure the illegals are indeed meeting the requirements.

If the Immigration service is back logged now with the 1 million aps a year now how are they going to handle registering 12-20 million undocumenteds?

Who are they going to deport? I'll bet no one will say they have been here less than 5 years.

Two-lines may be an improvement for our stammerer-in-chief.

Thomas J was also known as a "stammerer". I wouldn't think it too sensible to judge anyone's intelligence by how they speak publicly, especially a President of the United States, who no doubt has more on his mind than a single issue.

The CIS will handle it. Very corrupt! There is an awful lot of corruption involved in this whole issue.

You and I are on the minority.

Every time I hear people say that the federal government should spend more money on education and less on warfare, I have to bite my tongue.

The federal government should spend 0 dollars on education. The federal government should have a limited role on our Republic, such as securing our borders and defending us from terrorists.

Unfortunately, most people like to suckle at the federal teats.

Great! Fantastic! Maybe we can elect all those illegals to Congress, and statehouses to do the job Americans won't do!

Jorge, you're hurting your party.... but somehow, I don't think you care.

Is that part of the plan Jorge; cook that up with your good friend Bill, did you?

Sadly, yes we are a very small minority. I bite my tongue a lot too, even with most of my conservative friends. They even don't know the type of government our Founders intended. Our would hate to see how the government schools discusses our Founding period. I agree the Dept of Education shouldn't exist. It is wholly unconstitutional, as is most other departments. I Founders wanted the government to do the minimal - national defense and securing our borders, among the most important.

I see no way our Republic can be saved. The Great Society doomed us.

Well, if 5-6 years of hearing our dry-drunk's half-spastic attempts to express a coherent thought aren't a clue, perhaps you should also listen to What he says when he manages to say something.

Phrases like "religion of peace", "I'm now signing the CFR bill", "Harriet Miers is the most qualified..." come to mind.

Or just tune in to what this bizarre little Saudi-Prince-kisser is about to do this month...namely murder the United States to make room for his sick dream of "Amerexico".

"Ever wonder why companies hire Mexicans (illegal or not)? It's because they don't demand artificially high wages mandated by the socialist legislating sphincters. Hell, I'll take $1 an hour. Money is money."

It's because the employers want to pay artificially low wages.

If you'd like to take $1/hr, feel free. If you feel that's what these jobs are worth, you are mistaken.
