Well, you don't hear the phrase "grape juice" used to often in old languages, so I guess they wouldn't have known what else to call it.
Yes, I could even say I'm agog at it all.
Well, I was trying to keep it Loki.
Asking God to stop massive destruction isn't really very selfish.
On that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;the fish of the sea, and the birds of the air, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground.
You forgot to add that "all Christians hate jews". The evangelicals that subscribe to these beliefs are the largest supporters of Israel, but that doesn't fit the LAT mold.

Have to sell more books!
Minor pick. The name of the book is Revelation. There was one revelation of The Father, given to The Son.
Oh that is so helpful, thank you. Since nobody ever did any of those things before you came along to see them, I guess you must be right and the Second Coming is just around the corner.

Full disclosure...at that point, I wasn't thinking about mankind...
I wanted it to stop for ME...
funny...you never know what you'll think....
however, when it DID stop...I ran down the nine flights to help out.
It's just amazing to have a full realization that one is an insignificant speck that can be wiped out like a bug.
I've got my Bible right here in my lap and am reading that very scripture, and I can't see how it contradicts anything I said in any conceivable way.
Asking God to save your own life really isn't that selfish, either.
lol.. you want to make it personal, eh? ;-)
The pace does seem to be picking up a bit tho,
No?
And, . . . I recently heard a researcher specializing in such . . . reporting on C2CAM that the Hebrew group eager to build the next Temple has it all prefabbed and have decided to go ahead and build it off-site and await the availability of the site--to be made available by God--and to then rebuild it by fitting the puzzle pieces together again--without sound of hammer etc. as Solomon did.
Interesting that it's in this time frame!
Heard another researcher some months ago talking about there being more than one red heffer that qualified now and was either of age or approaching the right age.
Sooooo many pieces of the end times puzzle have already fit together since Israel becoming a nation again in a day as Biblically predicted--and as NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY.
The old contention that all such things have happened in historic events is pure nonsense. Perhaps at most 3-4 or so prophetic TYPES of things of SOME dubious similarity to prophecies occurred in a roughly same time frame. But usually not even that many.
In our era, we have many hundreds--and many key ones never before occurring--such as Israel's return to the Covenant lands etc.

But the idea that Christians WANT the apocalypse is nonsense. Any genuine, thinking Christian doesn't want suffering--even suffering preceding Christ's return.
But we realize it is inevitable and in our era so we are resigned to it and look instead on the positive events to transpire at the same time and especially afterwards.
From your link: Matthew 16:28, it says:
Verily, I say unto you, there be some standing here which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.
One by one, all the apostles died. And the world rolled on for everyone else. . . .
"The Kingdom of God" was already "at hand" when Jesus was with the Disciples. He started "coming into his Kingdom" in the transfiguration which some of the apostles there witnessed.
I didn't read the whole thing, but I'm guessing that they did not mention Isiah predicting that Isreal would be restored from Babylonian captivity by a foreign King named Cyrus 150 years before Isreal was restored from Babylonian captivity by a foreign King named Cyrus. Lucky guess perhaps?
I'd be praying the same thing, no question.
DNA has proven to be very confirming of their individual family traditions passed down generation to generation.
They are exceedingly confident that they have descendents of Aaron to officiate.
