Although very different men in virtually all other regards, Steve Irwin, St. Francis Assisi, and Teddy Roosevelt all shared very like attitudes toward nature, animals, conservation and man's place and responsibilities in creation.
I can only imagine the campfire tales being traded in the wilds of the great beyond....

Thank you all for not posting that appalling photo of Germ, nekkid as a bluejay.
I'm happiest when hard at work, and have been flaccid ever since. (But the day's not over yet.)

I think I would rather sleep in the same bed with a crocodile. Probably softer to the touch and smells nicer.

Paglia is fascinating. She can disagree without being strident, but she's quite assertive and knowledgeable. She walks a fine line.

Ugh - that's a "beer goggles" beauty if I ever saw one!
And I have...

Paglia is fascinating. And smart, and funny. I get the impression that she'd be a great guest at a dinner party.

As opposed to Greer, a lipstick lesbian [and more's the loss].

I for one wept when I saw Irwin with the Army Rangers
in the special where he helped the military remove
dangerous snakes from their training center in Louisiana.
Irwin's genuineness, passion and excitable nature, made
him enjoyable and real. His ENTIRE being was poured
into his work. Something you rarely see these days.
Most actors don't even move their lips, let alone their
face. With Steve, over the top enthusiasm for God's
creation showed in his face, body language and speech.
And that is what made him lovable and watchable.
Germaine is certainly NOT germaine when it comes to
compassion and sensitivity. Something she left behind
when she tried to become a man ... like Steve Irwin.

I think she's more the bare-butt kind. Lipsticks are at least lookers, Germaine gets right in your face and oh man it smells!
To: Kitten Festival
Poor language on my part. I meant Paglia was a lipstick lesbian. Greer gives 'ugly' a bad name.

Agree. Maybe it was me misunderstanding. But we both agree that Paglia is the lipstick lesbian and Greer is the butt-ugly - the one who proved it in fact!

Fortunately, Greer's sentiments are not shared by the vast majority of Australians, or people in other parts of the world for that matter. Greer has a very destructive personality as do many liberals. Rather than see good, they prefer to see evil.

Maybe somebody should tell Germaine not to spend so much time at the mirror.

I wish we could send them all to the moon, or someplace equally temperate. They deserve no better.
