Sounds like a group from the World Council of Churches. They are far from an Evangelical position. They most likely don't believe the Bible anyway, so why should any true Christian listen to them?

Well I am not an evangelical, but as a God fearing Catholic, and a citizen of this country, I cannot in good conscious vote for the party of abortion, euthanasia, and gay marriage nor can I see how any "Christian" could.

Jim Wallis will not be successful. As Will Rogers said,"I don't belong to an organized party, I am a Democrat." I doubt seriously that he can get a concensus. But, hey, it's America, he can give it a try.

While I will concede that these are three important issues they do not have the weight of abortion - the killing of an innocent human being. As a Christian the war on terror (will there be freedom of religion in the US {and hopefully in other parts of the world} in 40 years) and abortion are the two most important issues of the election for me. So far, the Democrats don't have a place for me at their table on either of these issues.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

The Democrats will NEVER make inroads among evangelicals until they start backing homeschooling.

That is the gold standand for homeschooling evangelicals, and Democrats will NEVER yield control of kids minds away from the government school system.

This is just not something to be concerned about. It won't happen.

I was at the press conference today. A reporter asked how many of the speakers identified themselves as Evangelicals, and only half raised their hands. When asked about party affiliation, none identified themselves as a Republican.
