The Medical Officer cried when he autopsied the 20 children most under the age of 10! who were not wielding any weapons.

Janet Reno took the heat 'cause the buck never got to Slick's desk! Those were US citizens who were EXECUTED who were denied due process but outright slaughtered! I remember a mother who was shot in the head cause she was carrying...an infant! Go back and read the history. I bet that Freep Links exist!

Wasn't there an arsonal of guns and ammunition that the Dividians were going to use to blow up Texans.

No. Your take on this is the result of the feds propaganda.

The initial charges were based upon lies, as was the final solution.

That was Vicki Weaver and Ruby Ridge. Different federal assault (under GHW Bush administration).

And yet when she died we had Freepers praising her as a conservative and a very good Governor. One guy even said the Bush's were friends with Ma Richards. Wanted to make me throw up as I lived through those long four years.

Glad the record is getting set straight! :)

Richards proved that you can be a bigoted, snarling bitch and with a nice smile still get elected.

Same Oh! Same Oh!

When teenage girls are "outta control" it's bad enough.

When our government agencies, FBI-CIA-IRS or Dog Catcher are outta control our freedoms are at risk!

Yes. Lets speak ill of the dead. That's got to be as fair as liberals attacking a deceased conservative former President, right?

"Here in Houston if you leave your house without packing, you are taking a big chance."

It's a shame. I lived there from 1998-2000. Houston had crime as any big city does, but people there didn't have the impact of 50 thousand NOLA refugees, either.

May I suggest you avoid Hollywood/gang slang

He probably holds it sideways too.

Yes. Lets speak ill of the dead.

So you've never had harsh words for Hitler, Stalin or Mao-Tse-Tung?

I'm sorry she's dead but that shouldn't stop people from commenting on her policies and how she screwed up.

Personally I bet she was quite a likeable person without all the politics .... but then politicians are all about being likeable.

I remember the first time I called the Insurance Department after W was elected, and talked to someone who made sense. I'd have walked to Austin and hugged him!

Richards hired a bunch of nincompoops for huge salaries, and it was almost impossible to do business.

"When will I get my tax forms?"
"We're redesigning them, and we don't know when they'll be ready."
"But they're due on the 15th; can I use last year's forms?"
"No, you have to use the new forms."
"Will the new forms be ready and distributed in time for me to complete them and submit them by the 15th?
"I don't know when the new forms will be ready, but if you don't submit them by the 15th, you'll owe interest and fines."
"Thanks so much for your help."

It wouldn't surprise me if the elder Bushes were friends with Ms. Richards; they seem to be friends with Bill Clinton.

I suggest going through the FR archives for the Branch Davidians. I have for doing so for the last few days and expect you will retract this post.

Barbara Bush detested Ma Richards and that is probably an understatement. She went on the campaign trail in 1994 after Ma dissed her son. No love loss there.

It's like this. David Koresh was a nutcase and he was probably assembling illegal weapons. He also was molesting some of the kids in his congregation.

However, the facts are at the time, the feds didn't have any cause to indict Koresh on federal charges. They also could have picked any time they wanted for the arrest. Koresh used to come to town a lot and he jogged every morning. The raid was a photo-op for the ATF to justify their existance.

Plus the whole BATF should have been in NYC working on the first WTC bombing that happened two days before.

Pure photo op.

"Democrats should take a note from this. Being an anti-gunner cost them a govenorship...

You make the common mistake of assuming that Dimocrats are capable of rational cause-effect analysis.

If they can't "feel" it, most Dims are incapable of knowing it.

"Cringe!) yadda yadda..."

This isn't exactly the fountainhead of politically correct speech here, pard; if he wants to call it a "piece," a "roscoe," "heat," or a "willy," well, that's his business.

I sorta favor the term "blaster," myself.
