Riyadh, 27 July (AKI) - Many Saudi imams have discovered that the direction of Mecca indicated to the faithful in their mosques is off-course.
Thanks to the images provided by Google Earth, some Saudi scientists have been able to monitor the main mosques in the kingdom, discovering that many of them have the qibla (the niche in the wall indicating the direction of Mecca) placed incorrectly.
According to Saudi researcher Abelaziz al-Ghamidi, quoted by the daily 'al-Watan', in the area of al-Baha alone 15 mosques have been identified where the qibla does not correspond correctly to the direction of Mecca, the most holy site in Islam.
How many are going to hell because of this?
Shouldn’t they declare a fatwa on... like... Google Earth?

Gosh, I’m so happy that I serve a GOD that doesn’t care which way I’m facing when I pray to HIM. All he cares about is that I pray.
They demand that prisons repoint their toilets, so as not to offend and they can’t even get their own houses of worship pointed in the right direction.

If GOD is omnipresent, and I believe he is, why would the direction I’m facing when I pray make a difference?

I’ve requested Islamic toilet paper fom my grocer and he keeps telling me it is on “order”!
They must be sold out due to the great demand.

That is to say, sometime last year, probably.
So mosques can’t get themselves pointed in the direction that Allah demands, unless the imams use the services of evil capitalist infidels to figure out which way Mecca is? Oh my, they’ve got themselves in a quandary here. How to explain to the faithful that the mosque must be re-positioned according to directions provided by evil capitalist infidels? And if this is the only way to get the mosque pointed the right way, could they possibly have been mistaken about the need to exterminate infidels and western capitalism?
