I grew up in a heavily Jewish community on the East Coast.

Almost everyone I knew was a liberal (except for the occasional self-declared Communist :-) ).

David Horowitz's writings are the best explanation I have seen for why Jews are so leftist.

Interestingly, though, Jews are very prominent in the Libertarian movement. Some (of us :-) ) have figured out that liberty is a lot better than letting the Hitlaries of this World donate your body to "science".

What you said is very true. In NY the traditionally more observant Jewish communities such as those residing in various sections of Brooklyn produce vastly more conservatives, while those rejecting any aspect of G-d in their lives unfortunately congregate in neighbourhoods such as the leftist leaning Upper West Side. Conservatives are found everywhere, no matter what the liberal mass media states.

When one lives amongst solely carbon copies of themselves, existing in a backward so-called 'culture' and to make matters worse, this element never, personally encounters other American's cultures on any level, that type of self inflicted isolationism is a virtual breeding ground for ignorance, blind hate & fear, especially if the area is historically drenched in hate, and refuses to alter their failed past.
