URGENT: Iraq Veterans Against The War To Smear Military as Babykillers (Winter Soldier II)

As I said at the GOE rally, the Iraq Veterans Against The War are out to smear this generation of military as "babykillers" the way their mentors the Vietnam Veterans Against the War did during the Vietnam era.

But I never expected that they'd give away their intent by calling it "Winter Soldier" just like their mentors.

Winter Soldier was a series of 109 interviews that were turned into a book and film. According to B.G. Burkett's investigation of Winter Soldier in his book Stolen Valor, many were phony soldiers that never served, others like VVAW leader Al Hubbard served but not in Vietnam, John Kerry served in Vietnam but not in Cambodia during Christmas under orders from Nixon as claimed and others served in Vietnam but had their stories refuted by others.

The Iraq Veterans Against the War ARE the NeoJohns, the Kerry Wannabes and they were mentored by the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, in particular VVAW leaders David Cline and Bill Perry.

In 1971, over one hundred members of Vietnam Veterans Against the War
gathered in Detroit to share their stories with America. Atrocities
like the My Lai massacre had ignited popular opposition to the war,
but political and military leaders insisted that such crimes were
isolated exceptions. The members of VVAW knew differently.

Over three days in January, these soldiers testified on the systematic
brutality they had seen visited upon the people of Vietnam. They
called it the Winter Soldier investigation, after Thomas Paine's
famous admonishing of the "summer soldier" who shirks his duty
during difficult times. In a time of war and lies, the veterans who
gathered in Detroit knew it was their duty to tell the truth.


Over thirty years later, we find ourselves faced with a new war. But
the lies are the same. Once again, American troops are sinking into
increasingly bloody occupations. Once again, war crimes in places
like Haditha, Fallujah, and Abu Ghraib have turned the public
against the war. Once again, politicians and generals are blaming
"a few bad apples" instead of examining the military policies that
have destroyed Iraq and Afghanistan.

Once again, our country needs Winter Soldiers.

In March of 2008, Iraq Veterans Against the War will gather in our
nation's capital to break the silence and hold our leaders
accountable for these wars. We hope you'll join us, because yours
is a story that every American needs to hear.

We Support the Troops Who Oppose the War

In 1969, the My Lai massacre helped fuel popular opposition to the
Vietnam War. U.S. political and military leaders insisted that such
crimes were isolated exceptions. Members of Vietnam Veterans

Afghanistan, as well as Iraqi and Afghan survivors. They will
provide first hand accounts of their experiences and reveal the
truth of occupation.

THis will turn out to be an illustration of the saying — First time as tragedy, second time as farce.

The leaders of IVAW who spoke at the DC protest carried by cspan were such nothings!!! Liam Madden, Gareth Roppenhagen, and Adam Kokesh are some names that I jotted down.

They will be working very closely with the Dem socialist caucus who are planning all of next year to attempt to impeach President Bush. Just as the mantra from the dems before the 2006 election was corruption among Republican elected officials, the mantra from the left, dutifully reported by the drive-bys, in 2008 will be the criminality of any Republican in the White House.

These “patriots” are classic useful idiots, pawns in the schemes of the Pelosis, Clintons, McAuliffes, Carvilles, Dingells, Waxters, etc who are the real power in the US.
