Pres. hinckley was one of the very best president’s the Church of Jesus Christ has ever had. He took a world wide religion and inspired mormons and non-mormons. He tried to tear down the walls between the mormons and other christians. (yes mormons are christians). He will truely be missed

It probably will be Pres. Monson, but I’d like to see Pres. Boyd K. Packer installed.

I met Pres. Hinckley in Florida in the mid 60’s - but I knew Pres. Packer, having met him the first day he took over as Pres. of the New England Mission in the 60’s = and many opportunities to interact with him during those years. He is a man of deep faith, humility and compassion.

President Hinckley has blessed our family through his service to our Father in Heaven and our Savior. He especially has been able to reach my children to make them listen, laugh, think, and try to be better. 3 of my boys are Eagle Scouts and one of them will soon be on his way to serve a mission for the Church in England. All of these accomplishments, and many more, were what President Hinckley stood for.

Do me a favor and ping me if you get an answer. I read the article and it seemed like the reader was expected to know what it meant.

The article says “13”, but it turned in to “TK” when he cut and paste it.

When I look for a Christian, I look for the fruits of Christian life. All I know about Hinckley persuades me he was a fine and faithful Christian.

I never did understand the “prayer to ...” comments.

I’d think that prayer to God would be more effective than prayers to someone’s family.

Some Freepers have no class with some of the comments on this thread. I feel sorry for them.

President Hinckley was truly a great man and changed the world for the better. If more people loved and served others as he did, the world would be a better place. His legacy and example will continue to inspire others for good.
