The World's Worst PR Guy spins for Wesley Clark
23/6 News ^ | July 03, 2008 | Teddy Wayne

Posted on 07/04/2008 6:45:17 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Retired General Wesley Clark has gotten into hot water for his remarks expressing doubts about John McCain's fitness to lead the nation, despite McCain's Navy service and status as a former prisoner of war. It's a good Clark has 23/6's resident PR expert to defend him:

STATEMENT FROM THE WORLD'S WORST PR GUY:

Ladies and gentlemen of the press, thank you for meeting me at this Captain D's Seafood Kitchen as I elaborate on the comments of my client, Wesley Clark.

First off, Gen. Clark's comments were taken wildly out of context. Yes, he said, "I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president," but also unspoken and implied is that Sen. McCain failed to find his way back to friendly territory like you see in the movies all the time. What message are we sending to our hopeful, cinephile youth if we elect this kind of quitter?

What my client really meant was that Sen. McCain's wartime record does not necessarily translate to wise executive-level judgment. So Barack Obama may not have served in the military. Let's face it, the only active things he's done are play basketball, which he's really good at, because he's...you know... And also he knew how to score marijuana, or blow when he could afford it. But he's made sage, balanced decisions throughout his political career and astutely predicted the war in Iraq would be an unmitigated fiasco. John McCain, on the other hand, married a pill-popping beer heiress. Sure, she's hot--for an old lady--but, c'mon, he had to know that would come back to haunt him. Take it from me, the wild ones are fun for a weekend in Tijuana, but you'd have to be an idiot to marry them.

Some people may view Gen. Clark's comments as a cynical self-endorsement to be Sen. Obama's running mate, with the suggestion that he, as the former NATO Supreme Allied Commander--wow, sounds like some sort of Nazi title, doesn't it?--and not Sen. McCain, has the military wherewithal to help lead our nation. I assure you he has no designs on the vice presidency. Need I remind you that, four short years ago, he ran for the presidential nomination--and lost badly, due to his political ineptitude and a wooden demeanor that made Al Gore circa-2000 look like Jim Carrey in "The Mask"?

On an unrelated note, does anyone know what the parking regulations on Pennsylvania Ave. are concerning U-Hauls?

Look, John McCain is a war hero and an honorable American. But Wesley Clark's background is unparalleled—valedictorian at West Point, Rhodes Scholar, that Nazi thing I mentioned earlier. Perfect, unblemished, exemplary. Oh, wait, I forgot. He's one-eighth Jewish. Never mind.

But the Jewish part was cut off at birth.

I noticed on one of the cable channels that there was a 107 year old man who is believed to be to last remaining living World War I veteran. In WWI he was a driver and did not see combat. I could not help but wonder what Wesley Clark would think of him.

Amazing how every dope out there continues to say how Clark “stepped in it”, “shot off his mouth”, “screwed up”, “went off the reservation”, etc. This was the PLAN. It is so damn obvious. And it worked! McCain’s idiots blasted Clark instead of blasting Obama. Obama got to slam McCain’s war record and come out with his hands clean.

Obama's FIRST Flip-Flop: IRAN...

May 18, 2008: Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, these countries are tiny compared to the Soviet Union. They don't pose a serious threat to us. ...they spend 1/100th of what we spend on the military. I mean, if Iran ever tried to pose a serious threat to us, they wouldn't stand a chance.

May 20, 2008: Iran is a grave threat. It has an illicit nuclear program. It supports terrorism across the regions and militias in Iraq. It threatens Israel's existence. It denies the Holocaust.

I'm in agreement with you. This is SOP as listed in the Dem campaign manual. And why not do it? It keeps on working, Republicans are slow learners.......

Michael Moore endorses Wesley Clark and Obama

From Michael Moore's website, September 12th, 2003:

Michael Moore to Wesley Clark: Run!
A Citizen's Appeal to a General in a Time of War (at Home)

Dear General Wesley Clark,

I've been meaning to write to you for some time. Two days after the Oscars, when I felt very alone and somewhat frightened by the level of hatred toward me for daring to suggest that we were being led into war for "fictitious reasons," one person stuck his neck out and came to my defense on national television.

And that person was you.

From Moore's website, January 14th, 2004:

I'll Be Voting For Wesley Clark / Good-Bye Mr. Bush

Many of you have written to me in the past months asking, 'Who are you going to vote for this year?'

I have decided to cast my vote in the primary for Wesley Clark. That's right, a peacenik is voting for a general. What a country!

__________________________________________________________________

Michael the ("peacenik") Moore, also from his website...

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush?"
[actual quote from Michael Moore (2004). It still appears on his website]

This one has been up for years, although I doubt if it's actually Michael Moore saying it...

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA):
"We are a party of unity in action. We are an integral part of every struggle and movement for change to eliminate poverty and joblessness, against racism and for full equality. We are participants, initiators and leaders of every movement to make life better now and much better in a socialist future." Yeah, so they supported an oppressive dictator, like the Repubs and Democrats haven't? The CP is still around, has apologized for that whole Stalin thing, and has a quickly growing youth section.

My Vote's for Obama (if I could vote) ...by Michael Moore

Friends,

I don't get to vote for President this primary season. I live in Michigan. The party leaders (both here and in D.C.) couldn't get their act together, and thus our votes will not be counted.

So, if you live in Pennsylvania, can you do me a favor? Will you please cast my vote -- and yours -- on Tuesday for Senator Barack Obama?

From Barack Obama's official website:

“I wanted to make an art piece of Barack Obama because I thought an iconic portrait of him could symbolize and amplify the importance of his mission. I believe Obama will guide this country to a future where everyone can thrive and I should support him vigorously for the sake of my two young daughters. I have made art opposing the Iraq war for several years, and making art of Obama, who opposed the war from the start, is like making art for peace. I know I have an audience of young art fans and I’m delighted if I can encourage them to see the merits of Barack Obama.”

Republicans may be slow learners, but under representated conservatives aren’t.
The slow learners are the anti-American media, out there on that limb sawing away...

Idiots! Too stupid to realize they will be destroyed with America.
