First On TVNewser: PBS' Gwen Ifill has broken her ankle after tripping and falling down stairs at her home last night, a NewsHour insider tells TVNewser. We're told Ifill had been walking up a staircase, carrying research related to her moderating duties at Thursday's Vice Presidential debate in St. Louis, when she took a wrong step.
We are also told the show will go on: Ifill is planning to travel to Missouri for the big event.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if Palin opened with something like this, “Thank you Gwenn, it’s an honor to be here. And before I begin I’d like to remind the American public that you have a book coming out in inauguration day. Isn’t that book titled, The Age of Obama? Anyway, I’m looking forward to your really unbiased debate moderating.”

I thought Lehrer did a fine job last Friday — I’m not expecting balance from Ifill.
She tripped down a flight of stairs because she was leaning way too much to the left.
I did that once going the other way. Did a complete somersault and landed at the bottom of the stairs on my feet!
I’m sorry Ms. Ifill wasn’t as lucky. Hurts like the dickens.

Please God. Let nobody change the venue for this debate. Sarah simply MUST challenge her moderator and constantly address OBAMA as “your friend” and your “candidate”. This is a slam-dunk for SARAH.. YAHOO!!

I would have figured that she broke her spine bending over backwards to kiss Obama’s @$$.
I e-mailed the address Michelle Malkin put in her column and expressed my outrage at the bias and partisianship being displayed by the organizers of the debate. I told them that in fairness to all voters (not just Republicans) she needs to be replaced immediately or full disclosure needs to be given at the beginning of the debate with regards to her book. Wonder if they’ll even respond?
