Although there was great excitement when she was announced, it is obvious she does not have the experience and is not capable of performing the important duties of vice-presidential debate moderator.

She should take herself off the ticket stage.

i wonder if the media will show her hobbling onto the stage making her look sympathetic.

that ankle will throb when she gets on that plane and the pressure changes.

The TV coverage should be required to put this in a banner under Ifill whenever she’s pictured and speaking.

“I e-mailed the address Michelle Malkin put in her column and expressed my outrage at the bias and partisianship being displayed by the organizers of the debate. I told them that in fairness to all voters (not just Republicans) she needs to be replaced immediately or full disclosure needs to be given at the beginning of the debate with regards to her book. Wonder if they’ll even respond?”

I haven’t heard back yet....

We're told Ifill had been walking up a staircase, carrying research related to her moderating duties

Probably carrying a big box of her new books so she can get Biden to autograph them tonight.

Is it too late for the GOP to get Ann Coulter as a co-moderator to balance things out? Or maybe Jerome Corsi?

Let us know what happens. According to that site, they don't have anything to do with the debate other than hosting it:

Please Note:
Washington University in St. Louis serves as the host venue for the vice presidential debate. All programming content and all conditions governing the debate are the responsibility of the Commission on Presidential Debates, and the University has no involvement in the event itself.

I went to the Commission on Presidential Debates website — I can't find any contact info; if I've missed something, someone please let me know.

She heard Barry’s voice on the TV downstairs and had a case of the vapors.

Oh, cripes...I broke my leg and went shopping the next day with a walking cast.

What the doc wouldn't let me do was go to my own "bon voyage party" THE SAME NIGHT OF THE BREAK...at a saloon....even if I put my leg up on the bar.

Called the boys...they said "no problem" and had the party without me. In the end, they threw me 6 parties....Did they love me...or just like to party???

After the accident emergency workers found this book at the bottom of the stairs.

Ifill is planning to travel to Missouri for the big event.

Ah, what a trooper!! It's not as though she has a financial stake in the outcome of this debate (and the election!) . . . . . . . . such as a book about Obama to be released on January 20, 2009!!

The debate commission should immediately remove her as moderator.

The debate commission should've never considered her for the moderator job in the first place. Evidently, the left no longer cares to maintain even the slightest pretense of impartiality.

Hmmm... Is she going to be on drugs, i.e. pain medication?

It's obvious she under the influence of Kool-Aid.

Maybe the debate commission just assumed that if there were any conflicts of interest the moderator would have told them. Yeah, I know, the dishonest left, but isn’t there any ethics standards left?

Now McCain is now faced with the problem of being seen removing the ‘black girl’, unless he explains this fully to the public.

“Of course he still plans to meet them. Gotta get in that appearance so it will help his pro-Obama book tour he is planning for January.”

Jeff, Gwen is a woman! LOL The moderator is a woman!

Wash U’s control over the debate extends to monopolizing every chrysanthemum in town and telling the frat houses to put the couches inside while there's company on campus. Beyond that, the campaigns have to agree on debate format, moderator, etc. I'm not sure if there's an organization for that or a mediator, but on campus, unless it's Bill Danforth (and then only because of his stature), no one has any say in the format, participants, etc.

If you contact PBS, go to the yellow screen with the contact info and at the very bottom is the Ombudsman’s email. It would be nice to see them get bombarded by irate taxpayers for their biased choice of VP debate moderator.
