Oh puhleeze. Mousav's supporters are college students and yuppies--these are a small percentage of Iran's demographic. The vast majority of Iranians are superstitious and primitive-minded. Don't forget, the Shah was overthrown because he wanted to modernize Iran, and the Iranian public was horrified at the very thought of modernity.

The Shah was overthrown with the connivance of Dhimmi Carter.

Interesting that you appear to be backing Carter's second coming, and the theocracy Carter started, over unarmed civilians being gunned down like dogs.

But let me guess, you oppose Palin because she'd institute religious control of the state...

What we have now was created by the left.

The left will do anything to undermine that which is truly progressive and good.

What irony.

Wrong; 70% of Iran's population is under the age of 30.

What really turned the clerics of Iran against the Shah was that his regime began to educate women and granted them the right to vote. The sight of professional women walking around Tehran with uncovered heads wearing skirts and highheels was too much for the likes of the Ayatollah and his ilk.

Oh, pul-LEAZE! That was thirty freaking years ago! This is a whole different generation who are staying united through Twitter and Youbtube, for Pete's sake! You're comparing apples to oranges.
