Hey Republicans! Quit Standing Up for Obama!

The backlash against politicians at town halls is a bipartisan phenomenon. Both Republicans and Democrats have been feeling the heat from a very upset American public. This was shown very clearly at a recent town hall event for Senator John McCain, who opposed President Barack Obama in the 2008 elections. At this town hall, McCain was booed as he expressed that he "sincerely" trusts that Obama believes in the Constitution.
McCain should realize there is no upside to standing up for Obama. In fact, this was a huge strategic mistake during the 2008 election. During the early stages of his presidential campaign, McCain was reluctant to call out Obama for what he was: a Marxist. When he finally started doing this as the election was drawing to a close, it was too little, too late.
It's no secret that Obama is waging a war against the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. Why then does McCain feel compelled to stand up for Obama?
The voters see through the ruse.
Republicans need to grow a little spine when it comes to confronting Obama's radical socialist agenda. It's time to call it like the voters see it. Grassroots activists are doing it on posters, shirts and signs. Why can't Republicans in power do it in interviews and editorials?

One of McCain’s closely-held principles is compromise.

All McCain has to do was keep his big mouth shut when some one goes off about Obama. The worst thing he can do is to stick up for the guy.
JUST SHUT UP, JOHN!!!

It’s enough to make you wonder what a McCain presidency would have really looked like. Would he have been a senile presence not much different from Joe Biden?

Why is everyone picking on Arlen McCain?
Kidding aside, I know two "centrists" who swore up-and-down that if McCain was the GOP nominee, they would vote for him.
Neither did, of course.
Both gave the same reason, George Bush (from whom McCain went through great pains to distance himself.)
I betcha that if McCain had vigorously SUPPORTED Dubya, and not ceded the debate points to Marxist Obama, then McCain might have won.
(Conflicting opinions welcomed.)

I know this sounds bigoted and I apologize but the direction Obomathug is taking the country could it be that the power elite put an ethnic minority in as president to be the fall guy? From my observations and how he kept praising Obomathug during the campaign McCain certainly acted like he really didn't want the job.

mccain is NOT a Republican!!! Nor am I one of his FRIENDS!!!

Yeah, Mac... he believes. We now have a community organizer as President, "wise latina" as a supreme judge, union enforcer handles our money in the NY Fed, a former stooge for terrorists is an Attorney General, opposition is bluntly blackmailed by the threat of endless investigations, dissent treated as a mortal offense, thugs are considered worthy of negotiations and accommodations, own citizenry - not, etc.
We live in a bad mafia movie plot - so much respect for the Constitution!

The Senate is a family. (Hatch? Lindsay? Lugar? Martinez?)
YoBama was a Senator, so John can never, ever, ever, ever, ever say anything un-nice, since you can't criticize your family in public.
Oh, yeah... John ain't the sharpest tool in the shed, either.
NO MORE OPEN PRIMARIES!!

“My friends” grates on me like fingernails on a chalkboard. We have been sold out altogether. My God but it’s past time to do something, you can shout in their faces and they completely ignore all of us.
But do what? I’d be banned from FR...
