I don't see how this can be considered criminal trespass and I'm wondering how it can be considered trespass at all if the security consented to their entry.

"Secret Service: White House party crashers may face criminal charges" Translation: We have been embarrassed by this couple crashing the state dinner so now they are going to pay.

See, even out here in Flyover Country, we are learning Washington speak.

This incident should give chills to all the “ordinary folk”, who think federal agencies can completely protect them from terrorism, etc.

I suspect things will “be cleared up” when their WH source manufactures a backdated invitation.

The low-level USSS guy who let the couple in will get fried, while the rich jerk with trophy wife will get to still be a rich jerk — for a while.

Also, as I noted in another thread, props to the MSM for actually covering this story on Thanksgiving. NBC News at least flogged a camera crew to get Brian Williams’s account of events. OTOH, CBS News, let Katie Couric be MIA, even though she was in a picture with one of the principals.

Would it have helped if they dressed up like pimp and prostitute and had hidden cameras? Were they trying to punk the head nut of ACORN or something?

It would behoove American citizens that are concerned about our country and terrorism to look a little deeper into who Tareq Salahi really is. His father, a Palestinian who came here as a younger man, and who with his Arab Family owns (and Salahi now runs) the Oasis Vineyards near Hume, Virginia.

It would also behoove all concerned Americans to check out the number of causes that Tareq Salahi (and his wife) belong to supporting the Palestinian State for years, even on an official basis via the American Task Force for Palestine or ATFP. There has been some “rumor” that the many “get togethers” of many Arabs (and many who are prominent, and some notorious) at the Oasis Winery over the years are more than “Get togethers for fun and weddings“.

It has been suggested that the Oasis Winery is an ideal location for supporters of terrorism, many of whom are naturalized Arab American Citizens (as in “The Enemy Within” or “Home Grown Terrorism”) who have met there for strategy sessions in the past, and perhaps even now. Hubris is what always brings these people down and I believe the US Secret Service has a big opportunity here and the FBI with Director Mueller as well. Opportunities like this don’t come around very often.

Prosecute them. They will go on TV and become famous no matter what we do. The media has already made them celebrities. Get back some of the money they will make from their crime.

To put this in some perspective -

Back in the 80’s when Regan was President there were several DC firemen who purchased tuxedo’s and then used them to crash an entire season of White House and Washington parties. They had their pictures taken with every luminary including Regan, Nancy Regan, Frank Sinatra etc. It was no big deal, in fact if I recall correctly their story was written up in Life magazine and published along with a photo spread of their photo conquests.

Of course the press made a big deal of how cool these guys were to get their pictures taken with the president and of course they (the press) took pot-shots at Regan because he had his picture taken with guys he didn’t know – sheeeeese.

Maybe a legal eagle can answer for sure - but in my place of business I have to give a warning(notice of trespass) to the person they are trespassing and if they don’t leave or if they come back they are then arrested. Don’t know if that applies in this case.

Why are they spending tax dollars on this triviality?

It's GOOD to have a blank checkbook, backed by OUR money.

As Major “Wild Bill” Donovan of the The Fighting 69th told Father Duffy, also of the Fighting 69th “Well, it’s a fortunate thing you’re not a crook! You could sell the Brooklyn Bridge to the police department!”

These Palestinians like Tareq Salahi that have been rumored by very reliable sources to be “Home Grown” or front men for “The Enemy Within” terrorists could not sell a can of tuna fish to a cat as they are that stupid. At the end, Salahi’s big ego got him nailed and he has done the United States a great favor for his stupidity. All it takes is one major misstep like he made and now the “cat is out of the bag”-no pun intended.

Ahh..Wild Bill would’ve loved this major blunder!

Although the White House insists that the Salahis passed through metal detectors before gaining entry to the party and that President Obama was never in danger, experts called it an amazing lapse.

That is complete baloney. Had this been two people who wanted to do some harm they wouldn't need to bring anything in to accomplish it.

Yes, it is a major offense to lie to the Secret Service at the White House. The couple were not supposed to be there so they may have misrepresented their presence to a federal officer.

I thought about criminal charges when I first heard about it. It is not just a "Whoops! We were just kidding!"

They are not trying to rob or control me, you or our families. Probably productive citizens.

FTA: " The family has been trying to sell the business because, his parents said, Tareq ran it into the ground, piling up as many as 50 creditors and almost $1 million in debt while he was its president.

Among its creditors are the Washington Redskins, for whom Michaele used to be a cheerleader. The couple owes the team $224,000 for season tickets. They also had a $57,000 Carver Mariner yacht, an $80,000 Aston Martin and an Audi that were repossessed.

There is also a $3.5 million fraud suit against the company, plus hundreds of thousands of dollars in credit-card debt and legal fees.

A catering company has sued Tareq Salahi for more than $300,000, claiming he never paid the bill for food for a polo-charity event.

Meanwhile, a purported nonprofit run by the Salahis -- Journey for a Cure, which has claimed to raise millions for research on multiple sclerosis -- was flagged in May by Virginia consumer-affairs officials for failing to apply for tax-exempt status.

Sounds to me like they should fit right in with the WH bunch.

From what is known so far, it seems the Secret Service just got a pie SLAMMED right into it’s face...now they’re looking to get even. Big surprise!
