My assumption is if such attacks were planned they would be planned well enough to inflict maximum damage. However, it would depend on the ultimate plan. If they had the military and everything else in place in order to control the population they would need only to create a stir, the appearance of a massive attack. That would mean hitting the storage tanks and the huge fires would have the necessary dramatic effect but leave the refineries intact for themselves and their future.
However, it has long been part of the Communist and the Muslim doctrines to completely destroy a country or society and then rebuild it in their own image. Look what they are doing to the U.S. economy under the guise of stimulus. Logic does not always, if ever, come into play with those people.
Eye of Unk, Obama has no divided loyalty unless you consider the slight difference between Communism and Islam. He is anti-America. Always has been and always will be.
Look at who raised him. Look at with whom he surrounds himself. If there is a true blue American anywhere in the bunch he is well hidden. In fact, a good case can be made that the tail wags the dog, that he is simply the figurehead.
He has been managed all his life. Someone else has always paid his way and planned his next step. Someone else, Bill Ayers, wrote his books and someone else writes his speeches and sets the agenda. He can barely read the speeches written for him and he makes blunders, such as corpse men, that would get any Republican crucified.
We must stop pretending the above is not true and face it as it is. The Left is good at sleight of hand and at erecting straw men. We must stop reacting to those and look at the man behind the curtain. In this case the curtain is a thin veil through which we can easily see. We must call them out on it.
The people who resort to violence are the ones who lose on election day. I don’t think civilization as a whole will collapse. But I think it has collapsed in some places already and people with any sense need to get out now.
When people tell me they have nowhere to go, I always tell them the same thing. When you are standing on an erupting volcano, the best place to be is anywhere else.

Don’t be confusing these Doom and Gloomers with facts. Besides everyone knows the Myans have it all figured out, its our solar system crashing into the one next door on 12/12/12, the muslims won’t make it either.
Generators are nice but you can quickly run out of gas and that may not be available either. Everybody we know is coming to our house in the event of a catastrophy, they have told us put in more RV hookups as if they could drive their RV's out of the cities?
But we live near I5 and mauraders may be able to find us. We will need our friends and family to come and help protect the property. Saying this a little in jest, but I really would feel insecure living in a very big city with no escape plans.

Don't count on it. Within an hour, the high muslim populations of the capital cities of those nations will join the attack against Westerners.
That is so true. That is why we need to clean house in the coming elections, to give the Cabinet energy secretary (Mr or Mrs Todd Palin) free rein to kick the enviroweenies out of the EPA and begin the process of putting American energy resources in the pipeline to American consumers.

Stockpiles eventually evaporate, medicine potency declines, even can goods deteriorate.....at some point one will have to understand what our forefathers lived.....on a daily basis....

Hmmm...I doubt you live on the Gulf Coast..... The effect of an imminent hurricane strike wipes store shelves clean of food, water, generators, coleman stoves & fuel, etc...in a matter of hours. Gasoline station tanks are pumped dry, and escape routes are parking lots or traps for the last families out... In the event of an attack, they would likely meet their maker on the freeways..
I have witnessed this human reaction several times in my life.... A hurricane passes....a devastating terrorist attack may make a hurricane look like a happy fizzy party.
