McCain and Palin: Reunited and Feeling Good ("I support his position on immigration")
Fox News ^ | 2010-03-27

(snip)

VAN SUSTEREN: Governor Palin, if you were vice president today, what would you be telling a President McCain about what to do about immigration, if anything?

PALIN: I support his position on immigration. It all comes down to securing the border. And he who has actually proposed some solutions, the Obama administration does not want to listen to Senator McCain or any other Republican, and that, of course, leads to a greater problem that we have in Washington, D.C. And it's that lack of the new administration's ability and enthusiasm for listening to those on the other side of the aisle who have some good solutions that they want considered.

It's a willful distortion of what she claims to stand for

Talk is cheap.

When the rubber met the road, she gleefully jumped into political bed with a man who supports everything that she has claimed she doesn't support.

Then why is Graham co-sponsoring and championing the Graham-Schumer immigration bill, which is essentially a carbon copy of the McCain-Kennedy immigration bill (i.e., amnesty)?

I thought Grahamnesty backed away from this after HC was passed.

Do you have a source that says differently.

Rabs,

You have, in the past, distorted her positions.

If your’re honest, you’ll admit it.

If not, you’re going down the wrong path.

You’ve tried to smear her continually because of her association with McCain and tried to make her out to be a RINO, which her own actions, speeches, and positions on the issues, Illegal Immigration notwithstanding, are all conservative.

You keep this up, and you’ll continually be branded a hypocrite and a liar.

Nobody, not even McCain has ever claimed to be for amnesty.

But he most definitely is. And so is Sarah, as best as anyone can unscramble her rhetoric.

Do you have a source that says differently.

"I urge the president to write a bill and see if he can get another Republican, see if he can convince the 16 Democrats who voted no last time," Graham said bitterly. "Let him do some heavy lifting here on immigration. ... Write a bill and send it to me. I'll be glad to look at it."

Oh, and it's dated March 28, 2010.

NOpe, I’m just tired of people like you attacking everybody that runs. Put your’s up and let them stand on their merits, OR NOT. Attacking just makes you another pissant, and people like that are the NUMBER ONE REASON McCain won last time. Pissant ATTACKED EVERYBODY, until the only one left standing was McCain.
You’ve hitched your horse to the slash and burn tactics of Pissant. I would suggest you SUPPORT someone! Stop the attacks!

Don't you realize that it's good manners to ping people when you want to slam them?

I know full well about the Graham-Schumer amnesty bill, since I've been reading a lot about it lately. I also know full well that McCain is using Graham as his proxy leading up to the November elections and that McCain has not genuinely changed his stance on immigration otherwise.

Yeah, I know McCain lives in your head rent free 24/7, so I can well imagine you think you can read his mind and hear his voice talking to you. LOL.

I don't expect him to be in the US Senate in 2011, so if 'immigration reform' is dealt with in this congress BEFORE November, he won't dare cross the aisle.

Hey most of us know you're a Paulist disruptor and what your agenda is. It's obvious for all to see.

Chunga has the best take down of you. You're a spam bot that only wants to divide and bring down any body other than Ron Paul, who is at best a little nuts.

I posted Sarah Palin's direct words, with a verifiable and credible source.

Are you suggesting that they are "dishonest and divisive"?

You are being rather selective Rabs.

Let's widen the search pattern to the last several months and look at the pattern of your posting. Any reasonable person would look at your Guilt by Association tactics, at least, and come up with the same "dishonest and divisive" tag.

Her conduct this past weekend was not conservative at all.

Gee, I don’t recall attacking Tancredo, until he dropped out and endorsed Flipper. ANd why the hell shouldn’t I attack the other RINO pantywaists, including McLame, when there is a rock ribbed Reaganite in the race???

maybe she is thinking about Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, which is more current, signed by Reagan. And In my opinion a mistake.

to be fair, when she endorsed mccain, JD wasn’t even in the running at the time. she should’ve waited.

“She isn’t backing the pro-amnesty McCain, she’s backing the McCain who supposedly supports securing the border.”

This is my issue with this whole mess.

John McCain is John McCain. There are not two McCains; just one spineless, gutless will-do-or-say-anything-for-a-vote McCain. The fact that she’s supporting him does her absolutely no service. You can’t endorse only half the man. Especially in the primary, especially against a Conservative.

Now, given Sarah's Dec. 2009 anti amnesty statements on Lars Larson and given Sarah's warning last week on FOX about the Democrats and what they will do about amnesty, does anybody still want to say that Sarah is definitely for amnesty??

McCain and his vague, ambiguous, trite statements are full of sh*t, and you know it.

Of course McCain's statements are full of sh*t now and of course McCain is hiding from his past (and probably future) attempts at amnesty. But that isn't the point.

We are trying to figure out Sarah's position on amnesty. McCain currently states (I know it's BS) that he is against amnesty and for border control and Sarah states that she is for the McCain position.

Now how can you tell me that Sarah without further clarification is or amnesty?
