Sorry, I misread it. I agree completely.

If I was Vikings’ owner, and I felt the job was not getting done, then I would be willing to test the Supreme Court on this.

I respect all religions, except when people’s religious activity impacts my life. I have no desire to move around my schedule to accomodate other people’s prayer times.

This effected me in my company, during Ramdan, a Muslim guy had to leave early because of time to break his fast. His manager sent me detailed info regarding that, so somehow I was supposed to stay in late.

I replied to that email, and copied everyone and joked that I can’t be there, because I have to go my Satan Worship around that time as well.

I was trying to make the point that they have no right to ask me to accomodate other people’s religion. That guy took it as an insult and reported me to HR.

I told them I have emails, go ahead, make my day, make me a celebrity. Fire me because I have to step up for people who are out praying.

They didn’t! ;o)

IF....

The moon-god is a real entity with any power at all...

He will certainly bless you...

Your pprofessional team however--
....is not similarly obligated!

I think the blessing of your obedience will include a PAID MOVE to your next team domicile.

Just sayin....

Shawn Green’s forefathers, thousands of them were massacared, because they were held accountable for things they didn’t do. Do you want people to pay price for other people’s sins?

So wierd, american blacks turning to Islam because Christianity is a “slave religion.”

How incredibly ignorant can people be? The muslims to stop slaving.

For those interested, there were some tribes tha were into capturing and selling members of other tribes. One of the slaving tribes was the Luo tribe of Kenya. Yes, THAT Luo tribe of Kenya.

Very thoughtful post.

Religion is defined as: *a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny*

Any act or behavior that promotes harm to another human being or damage to society (under cover of a religious practice) should be treated as a crime.

i.e. mutilation, honor killing, asassination, terrorism, theft, treason.

Koufax and Green are Jewish, Abdullah is Muslim. How do Paul’s words have application to them?

No Sir. Point is that you can’t hold one individual responsible for crimes that other people with similar religion comitted. Do you have proof that Viking’s safety was involved in the massacare that you eluded too?

Not sure we want to go there. freedom of association is part of the 1st Amend. Do we want to see raids on the Boy Scouts while “conspiring in their ‘non-inclusive’ secret meetings” ?

(Judge Walker might.)

A muslim who isn’t fighting Christians or Jews isn’t really a “good” muslim in the eyes of mohammed....

Right.

The other obvious crime is that the presence of a mosque would represent simple assault to everyone in that community. The threat itself is a crime too, of course.

The mosque at Ground Zero would most certainly could be looked at as intent to cause bodily harm or to kidnap.

Not advocating limits on any group (religious or other) to freely associate.

Just reiterating that any group advocating criminal behavior should be treated accordingly.

It is against the law for any group of people to plot treasonous acts, violence, theft, murder or property damage.

Ah ha, if you think those are Paul’s word, then we have nothing else to discuss. I believe, like most Christians those are God’s Words. God says that Israel (Jews) have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge. There is neither Jew nor Gentile now, just believers in Jesus Christ or non-believers in Jesus Christ, just two kinds of people. As far as Moslem goes, it is just a cheap, fake, malicious cult orchestrated by the Adversary to enslave a weak minded people. If it were genuine they wouldn’t have to ban the “competition” from it’s soil. Christian churches in Mecca, anytime soon? What do you think?

I personally know several Jewish physicians who don’t work Friday nights or Saturdays. They have other physicians who take call for them during those times.

Do you expect non-Christians to behave like Christians?

The last time the Vikings went up against the Saints, they lost when Tracy Porter intercepted a Brett Farve pass.

“I’m putting nothing before God, nothing before my religion,”

The problem with that statement (which could have been said by many “fundamentalists”) is that religious indoctrination has made it difficult if not impossible for them to distinguish between “putting nothing before God” and putting “nothing before my religion”, for in their mind the two ideas have no distinction; but I believe God disagrees.

I assume he knows that the Vikings once had a player die from dehydration and heat exhaustion during training camp. This ain’t exactly Sandy Koufax refusing to pitch on the Sabbath.
