Christine O'Donnell is taking a page from the playbook of Barack Obama. The Republican Senate candidate has produced a 30-minute television advertisement in the form of a documentary chronicling her connection with the people of Delaware.
But unlike Obama's ad at the end of the 2008 race, the tea party insurgent's campaign has run into obstacles getting it in front of voters before Election Day. The campaign did not purchase advance time on networks in the Philadelphia or Delaware markets, said a source close to the O'Donnell campaign, and the networks did not have time available to air the ad on such short notice.
So O'Donnell turned to a public access television station, Delaware Channel 28. She told supporters at a Tea Party Express rally on Sunday in Wilmington to watch that night at 11:30. "Tell everyone to tune in," she said at the rally.
"1 minute until the premiere of our 30 minute feature. Tune in to meet all the heart warming people I've met on the campaign trail. Ch. 28," O'Donnell tweeted Sunday night.
But the ad never aired.
A few minutes later, O'Donnell tweeted: "Okay... this is NOT our show! Must be a programming mix up. We will get back to you..."
The source, who spoke only on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive campaign operations, said the station "forgot to air it."......

I am betting - in agreement with texmexis' best's position - that the station did not just forget.
Are you betting that they did just forget?
If you can't answer that simple question, then all you're doing is trying to cover up your inability to read a very simple post with a ton of empty palaver.
How can you call a bet if you won't even tell me what you're betting on?
Yet again: you are betting that the station just forgot to air the infomercial, right?
Her? She's doing that? You certainly assign a great deal of power to someone you have such a low opinion of.
If the GOP does not gain a Senate majority, it could have something to do with more than just the race in Delaware, since something like 37 different Senate seats are in play. Unbelievable.
And anyone with a 3rd grade education could figure that out.
One last time...so everyone can see it...here's what you wrote:
I'm willing to bet any amount of money that you are exactly right.
The "they forgot" line is coming out of O'Donnell's campaign - not the station.
You misread tex's post...and claimed it...then stated your premise.
I called you on it...and you proceeded to muck it up with ducks and dodge's.
I've a tip for you....don't offer to bet when you "really" don't mean it. And have a solid dollar figure. Or folks like me...will call your ass on it.
I'm done with you...you can have the last word.
And I'm good with anyone who actually reads this...that they will know how you operate.
Good luck........
Because the campaign “forgot” to get air time on the big network stations in the Phila/Delaware market.
WTF is wrong with you?
Most observers said that while 37 seats were up for election, 10 Democrat-held seats were truly in play for the GOP.
One of those was DE - if Castle had been the nominee.
O'Donnell's job was to use her enormous war chest of campaign funds to replicate Castle's numbers and keep the seat in play.
She'd already campaigned for Senate twice before and won the nomination once before.
Given the strong anti-Democrat sentiment out there, this was the year.
Tim Qualls, executive producer, has a facebook page...bet you’ll be surprised to learn he’s a fan of Chris Coons...
buy airtime on a large network channel - not a public access channel. That’s what she could have done.
Agree completely.
The Delaware GOP certainly didn’t help her out and I don’t recall the RNC doing very much either.
Holy cow, I’ve been trying and trying to understand what this wager is supposed to be about. I enjoy following political-type wagering, but, frankly I can’t fathom what needs to happen for one of you to win and win of you to lose this one.
The best I can make of it is that, if it can be proven that Channel 28 didn’t forget to air the ad, then wideawake wins. But if it can be proven that channel 28 did forget to air the ad, then osage orange wins.
Now, since the production manager of channel 28, David Reinert, has come out with a statement that the station did not foget to air the ad, does that mean that osage orange has to prove that Reinert is lying in order to win the wager? Or, does wideawake have to prove that Reinert is telling the truth? If neither of you can prove that Reinert is or is not lying, then I get both of your monies, right?
*confused*
see post 28.
I read it, and I agreed wholeheartedly that the station certainly didn't forget.
In fact, I said I would bet any amount of money that texmexis best was "exactly right."
I ask again: are you taking the other side?
Yes or no?
See my other replies, FRiend.
And go back and reread the article.
And that said..you can't read either.
Hell...according to WAW...none of us can read. LOL!!
Go BACK and read what the bet was about. It's not what you've described here...........
Exactly.
Because Texas remembers what it is like to be free...
I am betting that the station did not just forget.
Are you betting they did just forget?
Feel free to answer this simple question whenever the mood strikes you.
Is that you Tokyo Rove?
Maybe they had to make the video? THey had no help from the RNC, NRSC? Just a thought.
And you don’t think it’s wrong that the state GOP isn’t behind her? That’s bullshit.
I’ve dealt with a similar situation myself, with a lying backstabbing state party. Unlike Christine, I decided that I wasn’t going to put their name with mine on the ballot.
