How much time did you spend in your car last week? Ten hours? Fifteen maybe? Wow, that sounds like a lot. But it's still probably an underestimate: As it turns out, the average American now spends 21 hours per week stuck inside a mobile metal box.

They should be sued for false advertising, or we should stand there and refuse to pay until they deliver something faintly similar to the pics.

Zinczenko is an unabashed Obama supporter and regularly gets on his high horse. I was a subscriber to Men’s Health magazine for 10 years and recently let my subscription lapse. I’m tired of reading poorly-penned articles by leftists bitching about how unhealthy this place is or how fattening that food is. They went from having really solid fitness and diet articles to namby-pamby diatribes against States and their waistlines.

I wrote them a letter and simply said, “Keep your California political crap out of this magazine and maybe you won’t continue to hemorrhage readers.”

Incidentally, if anyone has any recommendations on a good fitness magazine that’s NOT run or owned by Rodale, I’m all ears.

Yes maa’m, I understand the sentiment, but if I’m ordering fast food, I usually don’t have the time to sit and argue with the manager.
Unfortunately, it is what it is....

We don’t have any of those place (except Dairy Queen) in So Cal.

I’m going to stick with a Double Double, animal style today.

Only 670 Calories, I know, but so tastey!

Yeah, I eat my dollar McDouble or Doublestack and I don’t say a word. If I want a better burger, I go to a better restaurant or I make one at home.

First let me say - EAT WHATEVER YOU WANT!

That said, some folks want to eat healthier. As long as that is their choice, I support them having a choice.

I like this Eat This/Not That approach. The author gives reasonable alternatives, without telling people then need to exist on roots and sawdust.

Vote with your wallet. Order what you want, and restaurants will provide it.

You all may think this guy is a nancy-boy, and you’d be right, but he’s performing a very valuable service for you.

See, you might *think* that you have a right to eat whatever the sam-hill-tootin’ you feel like eating. But, oh no. You don’t. Under ObamaCare, you will eat what we tell you to eat, so that you don’t contribute to added health care costs. Can’t have valuable taxpayers having heart attacks or anything, thus keeping them from paying taxes while also making them into health care consumers, can we? Nooooo...you will eat lentils and sprouts, and you’ll like it.

Need to subtract 104 days for weekends if basing just on work commute. Most people I know do not work Saturday and Sunday and that includes me.

840 x 37.29wks = 31,323.60

I drive that much per year to work and back.

Just another perspective.

avg 40 mph

In rush hour congestion in Houston traffic?

Man I wish I could average that speed. Then the 21 hours wouldn't sound like a low estimate. Not to mention the running to girl scouts, dance class, back to school is on 35 mph streets with lots of stop signs and traffic lights.

I was going to go and order one of these for lunch, but none of those chains are nearby (except Mickey D’s, and they stopped serving breakfast)

I would order that, Diet Coke being the only cola I drink. I'm not over weight either, I prefer the taste of Diet Coke.
