Palin to GOP: Fight like a Girl (An instant classic)
Politico ^ | 4-16-2011 | ANDY BARR

Sarah Palin unleashed a withering critique of congressional Republicans Saturday, lambasting them for not cutting spending deeper and faster, and saying the party needs to “fight like a girl.”

"We didn’t elect you just to rearrange the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic," Palin said during a rally in front of the Wisconsin statehouse in Madison. "What we need from you, GOP, is to fight." Pointing to the national champion University of Wisconsin women's hockey team, Palin said the GOP could learn from its resolve and “needs to learn how to fight like a girl."

His acceptance at the Tea Party rally says otherwise.

That bunch of “ball-less bastards” in the House just passed the most conservative budget in decades. You can’t fight over a year that is half gone no matter what Rush is whining about.

The tools for success are only half in place. The Senate must be taken and made veto proof.

Me too. I knew a star had been born. And it isn’t just that I’m in love with her. I would have voted for Lady Thatcher as well.

Obama can’t even lead a little sissy dog. Wonder what Dog Whisperer has to say about that!

“But there are people out there on FR who are beating the drum for this guy...and that bothers me.”

It’s like what happened after Fred Thompson dropped out and everyone with a Townhall account was suddenly for Romney.

Those eyes are piercing. Face to face, eye to eye. I like her.

Well, she supports Ryan, doesn’t she? How much support does Ryan’s plan have from the Republican Caucus? But that is not the immediate question. That is what the Republican House will do about the debt ceiling. Will they do what they did about the $100 billion cut and end up setting on a symbolic cut? How little their cuts have slowed the spending momentum of the previous Congress can be seen in how quickly spending is overrunning the debt ceiling. We are on the Titanic and speeding toward the iceberg and so far the House has not turned the ship away from the collision course.

Indeed, never get anywhere near two black girls in a cat fight. There be some serious hair pulling. My nwife once witnessed two middle school girls going at it in the hallway. The principal had to call in the SPs. to break it up.

Well, it depends on how things go. Better to be lucky than good, and Obama has been fortunate in his enemies.

"That bunch of “ball-less bastards” in the House just passed the most conservative budget in decades."

Yeah, and the only reason they made THAT choice was massive "persuasion" from the Tea Party. There were WAY too many "let's compromise" noises coming from the Republicans, both those who are currently in Congress and those who formally did were, and particularly from the "leadership". Ball-less bastards is correct.

"The tools for success are only half in place. The Senate must be taken and made veto proof."

Once upon a time, not "too" very long ago, the Republicans held both House and Senate, and Presidency too. Instead of reducing spending and cutting back government, they spent like drunken sailors on shore leave. I think the term used was "compassionate conservatism", which was neither.

Trump is breaking the door down for Sarah Palin to run.

This is true on many levels.

Sarah is a serious version of Trump. People can seriously vote for Sarah where Trump is a caricature of a candidate in many ways.

Donald Trump is blazing the trail for Sarah Palin by knocking the BS door down of the MSM and softening up Obama for Sarah to go on the offensive... it's no accident that both of them were at rallies today.

A good number of the governor’s opponents appear to define “fighting like a man” as letting the girl go out and fight for them, letting her get beat up for a few years (when they’re not actually putting in a few boots themselves), then swooping in, pushing her aside, taking credit for what she did, and divvying up the spoils. Or at least that’s what they’re trying to do. I think I prefer “fighting like a girl”. At least like that girl. It’s more honorable. It’s more manly. And certainly more gentlemanly.

I take your point, but on the other hand, we can never hear Lincoln’s voice. It was by all accounts very high pitched, but carried to the edge of a large crowd. Palin was determined not to be drowned out by the rowdys in nthe background. Of course had a strong regional accent, inspiring comments about him not unlike that thrown at Palin. On the other hand, she could tone it down in the TV interviews. I recall a Utube speech to a small room. Her voice was much more moderated.
