You really do need to plan on another Eric Holder in the mix so it will be necessary to keep the states in the enforcement loop.

This is the bill reported to have been negotiated between Lamar Smith and the Chamber of Commerce. Earlier reports have said that it would preempt states from taking many of the legal actions included in most of the new laws now being passed in several states.
I hope pro-enforcement legislators take a hard look at this legislation because some think it will again gather most all immigration enforcement back to the feds who will not enforce immigration law as long as Obama is in power, so why would they enforce some federal requirement that all states use E-Verify?
E-Verify requires a complete data base be kept of every American, and for every American to get approval from the bureaucratic keepers of that list to work.
Our political "leaders" have failed to do their job, as per the Constitution, to protect the states from invasion. And in exchange for their dereliction of duty we're asked to give up our liberty. How far have we sunk when this is considered to be a good idea by those who call themselves conservative?
Sounds like good news for Americans.
Unfortunately, many anti-amnesty groups are ALSO panicking over it - because of concerns it will neuter tough states like AZ, while permitting the Feds to go soft on enforcement.
