Penn State also ranks 7th in “best party schools”.

I heard a rumor that Paterno was talking a lot to the Grand Jury, and giving details on the President and A.D., and that was why they were trying to hustle him out the door.

A lot of rumors flying around here in PA.

IT's what he DIDN'T do. I know that college football is more important than morals - to some.

what is important is this mob mentality a bunch of you libs insist on living in instead of pulling your heads out your ass and look at facts

the Grand jury specifically noted that both he and McQueary had reported as the law required.

We don't need to read facts like that........

"All I can think about through this Penn State saga is how the LGBT “community” and Democrat politicians throughout the USA are pressuring the Boy Scouts of America into ditching their policy against accepting openly homosexual scoutmasters. As an Eagle myself, the welfare of the BSA is always a concern of mine."

We're BSA volunteers, and our older son is an Eagle Scout AND a student at Penn State main campus. This hits close to home on many levels. When I think about that boy who was being assaulted in the locker room, he would now be just about the age of our son.

I am absolutely livid with the miserable administration of Penn State. Not only have they allowed countless innocent children to suffer, but they have now placed our child and his peers in the middle of a messy scandal which will affect their college years. He told us yesterday that the campus is swarming with media and the kids are very upset about JoePa possibly stepping down. Going to football games with their pals is a big part of their college life, and now it's forever changed. Writing the next tuition check in December is going be be very very painful.

I'm grateful that our son wasn't personally harmed, but when I think of all the digs we've endured against the BSA by sanctimonious, politically correct jerks, I just seethe. The BSA has very strict policies in place explicitly to prevent such situations from recurring, and trains its volunteers in how to report any suspected abuse. The hypocrites in the media have utterly failed us in their function to report objectively on this problem.

“When you make college sports a religion..........”

Yeah, like the morons on FR who post that they hope Nebraska beats Penn State on Saturday.

The members of the football team do not deserve punishment. It is also wrong to want Paterno dragged out in chains because you are an Ohio State fan.

Children were abused by a sick man and many people were involved in the cover-up. Every single person involved in the cover-up needs to go to jail...and that includes Paterno.

However, I see so many posts that are based on the football game, it is sick and just as wrong as those who did this cover-up.

>> they probably would be in the Nazi youth groups back in the day...

Boy, did you hit that one outta the park!

That’s exactly what I thought in Denver at the DNC when the O’Bamination was selected by the Party.

It’s just intergenerational same-sex intimacy. There’s nothing wrong with that ... in fact, it’s a protected constitutional right! Saying otherwise is bigoted hate speech!
(/s)

But seriously, that’s what they’re taught from grade-school on, so why should anyone be surprised that feel this way?

He said the Church cannot control their priests if they are married and have children. They must be made homosexual.

Oh, get flipping REAL.

The ordination of homosexuals, even chaste ones, was prohibited by Rome back in the early 1960's. The prohibition was reiterated a couple of years ago. Most of those men should never have been ordained, and were ordained in violation of the rules.

You met an Italian "artist and writer," probably a homosexual himself, a leftist who hates the Catholic Church with a passion. And of course every word of his is the gospel truth. Yeah, right. Funny how FReepers swallow anything bad leftists and the leftist media say about the Catholic Church hook, line, and sinker.

And priests in the U.S. certainly do not come only from poor families, and they enter seminary at the earliest after college.

Obama considering ex-UNL chancellor for secretary of education, reports say

So why didn't Obama go for Spanier.......?

From the above link....

A "liberal in a conservative state," Spanier was once publicly challenged for his stance on gays' rights to participate in ROTC, Griesen said, adding Spanier "served UNL well."

How do you blow Pedophile gay rape, covered up for a DECADE by the highest people in the University Administration, “out of proportion”?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If they were allowed to get married this wouldn't happen. /s

Oh...And...I thought coverup only happened in the Catholic Church? ( Let's see how quickly the Marxist media drops its news coverage and investigation of this secular and godless institution.)

Paterno knew his coach ass raped a boy. Yeah he reported it up the chain. THEN he kept working for the guy and never did anything else. HOW DO YOU KEEP WORKING WITH A GUY WHO ASS RAPES YOUNG BOYS AND NEVER FOLLOW UP TO MAKE SURE THIS GUY IS IMMEDIATELY DEALT WITH?

No one cares young boys were being ass raped as dealing with it might hurt the football program

If I were them I wouldn't worry about the grand jury. I'd worry about The Judge we all have to face who's going to ask me why I kept quiet about it for 12 years after "reporting it as the law required."
