Romney Would Veto Immigration "Dream" Act [Will This Put Romney Over The Top?]

Romney Would Veto Immigration "Dream" Act By Jane Sutton …

LEMARS, Iowa (Reuters) - Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney said on Saturday he would veto a proposal granting U.S. citizenship to undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country as children, a pledge that won hearty applause from Iowa conservatives he hopes to win over.

A young woman asked Romney about the bipartisan proposal known as the Dream Act, during an appearance at a crowded restaurant in Le Mars, a conservative Republican stronghold in western Iowa.

"The question is if I were elected and Congress were to pass the Dream Act, would I veto it and the answer is yes," Romney said. "For those that come here illegally, the idea of giving them in-state tuition credits or other special benefits, I find to be contrary to the idea of a nation of laws," Romney said.

"If I'm the president of the United States I want to end illegal immigration so that we can protect legal immigration. I like legal immigration."

Under the Dream Act, which was brought up in the Senate in May, young undocumented immigrants who have lived most of their lives in the United States and graduate from U.S. high schools would be eligible for a conditional six-year "path to citizenship" if they earn a college degree or serve two years in the military.

Romney also said he would secure the U.S.-Mexico border with a fence and enough Border Patrol agents to guard it.

Romney is the consummate politician and will say - without a shred of honesty - anything it takes to get himself elected.

It’s an easy thing to say when you have no intention of doing it.

If you believe this one I have some waterfront land in the Nevada desert for sale.Call me, you can get it cheap.

Would does not mean will. Politicians lie like a rug (as daddy sez) to get elected. Afterwards they’ll say they were mistaken and do a one-eighty.

That coward military service avoiding son of a bitch from a family of military service avoiding sons of a bitches will NEVER be POTUS.

He couldn't beat that Kenyan communist, all his nomination (which isn't happening either) would do is permanently damage the GOP beyond repair and guarantee a third party candidate and an Obama reelection.

That SOB Romney needs to be destroyed, a bunch of gullible Iowans or New Hampshire blowhards might be fooled, but he wont play in the south.

I will run to the polls to vote for Romney if he runs against Bammy Boy. Romney may be a bit liberal but Romney as president means:

no more Bammy Boy
No more racist Eric Holder
No more wacko industry and oil hating Lisa Jackson at EPA (get this beoyotch out!)
No more Hillary
No more Moochelle bleeding the taxpayers

Yep. You forgot to mention that Romney as president means:

-- Increased liberalism and statism in the Republican party AND the Democrat party
-- Federal law requiring that abortion be legal throughout the US because the Republican party wants it that way
-- A Republican party that endorses the forced embrace of open homosexuality in all walks of American life, and harsh punishments for those who exercise their God-given right to peacefully discrminate against open homosexuality in their workplaces, kids' schools and youth clubs, military, neighborhoods, and everywhere else
-- Republican-caused strangleholds on energy production and consumption in order to "save the planet" and the destruction of any hope for the GOP to stand as the antidote to the global warming hoax
-- A very high probability of Congress going left in the mid-terms
-- Activist liberal judges appointed to the Supreme Court
-- Nationalized health insurance with mandates for which the Republican party is responsible
-- Complete evaporation of hope among Americans that the Republican party can be an antidote to the tyranny of big government, and an explosion of cynicism and people with good reason to say, "There's not a dime's bit of difference between Republicans and Democrats."
-- The virtual guarantee that liberals will grow more powerful, and that the next Democrat president will make Obama look like Barry Goldwater.

ROMNEY IS THE GREATER EVIL. ROMNEY MUST LOSE.

That’s just crazy because if 98% of blacks vote for Obama then I am darn sure going to vote for Mitt. But my first choice is Rick Perry, then Newt Gingrich

No way do I sit this one out. If the Republicans nominate my town’s dogcatcher I’ll vote for him. Evict Bammy Boy and Moochelle (she of the pumped up biceps)

ENOUGH!!!!!

Never look at what the leftist pos politician SAYS; look at his or her record when they had to lead on an issue.

Romney was busted in December 2006 for his 10 year usage of illegal Guatemalans, in December 2007 the idiot was busted again for the same thing, 2 days after after lying in the debates that he had never been running a “Sanctuary Mansion”.

Romney had never really fired the company, he just let things die down and kept them on.

The McCain/Palin ticket was up ++8 pts. days prior to September 18th, 2008.
So the RomneyTeam attacked Gov. Palin and her children to throw Election2008.

Romney for Obama in 2008

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

Also under the Romney bus:

"National Guard Lt. Anthony Circosta poses in his backyard in Agawam, Mass., on June 9, 2007.
At left, his wife Danielle and daughter Kylie, 2, talk near the swing set. Circosta,
a decorated Iraq War veteran, seemed like an ideal candidate for a pardon from
then-Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for the 29-year-old's boyhood conviction
for a BB gun shooting. Romney denied the pardon,
twice, despite the recommendation of the Governor's Council.
