In the absense of any other info I think the troop cutting is for Marxist demrat consumption only.

If he cuts back military manning by that much it will make a visible spike in unemployment. Can’t have that before the election.

That said Santorum should be hitting thasty announcement hard for putting America’s security at risk.

It will be interesting to see how the American troop deployment to Israel plays out. Not yet enough info to make an informed analysis.

There is, of course, no chance of Egypt abrogating some sort of peace treaty with Israel.

And to say that we may be in an “all out war” is complete crap.

All out means ALL out. No troops on the ground In Iran. Just lots of glowing craters and millions of Iranicanicans DEAD.

“since early December when Iran hijacked and recovered an American drone
Really? “

Yes, indeed. It’s all over the internet. At least Iran is saying they hijacked our drone.

It won’t happen right away, and the numbers can be gamed for a long time.

Retooling for asia is funny. China makes most of our hardware, so we will loose.

I believe RT.com is “Russia Today” - not Reuters.

Sorry, looks like the pic and possibly also the article is from Reuters. But the site is Russia Today.

Better hope Iraq doesn’t dissolve into chaos. We can afford only so much shock and awe when O is busy destroying our economy and our defense industry.

“Iraq descends into anarchist squalor days after U.S. troops leave for political reasons.”

I was of the opinion they left for simpler reasons than that; they left under cover of darkness for fear of attacks from “our” Iraqis. What was left for them to do in Iraq, with the Baath Party out, Saddam dead, and Iraqis devolving into what they were before?

And in November the Air Force announced it had received the first of its order of 30,000 lb Massive Ordinance Penetrators, a huge bunker busting bomb.

A message is being sent to Iran, but I doubt that the Twelvers running the show care. They think a big stinking war is just what is needed to bring the return of their Mahdi.

If Iran wants to have its Navy at the bottom of the Persian Gulf let it try and stop the flow of oil through the Straits of Hormuz. Even Urkel won’t allow that to happen.

Some would have us pretend that Iraqi Muslims—unique among the Muslims of the world—deep down love freedom just the same way Americans do, and would build a sturdy free republic... if only the US would keep an army there another 100 years!

I believe they are different than Saudi/Kuwaiti types (Iraqi women don’t have to wear bags on their heads to go outside), but as far as their love for us - forget it. It was literally distrust of our Iraqi allies that forced the midnight retreat. The pictures from the embassy in Saigon n 1975 had become such symbols of failure we bugged out in Iraq when no such pictures could be taken.

Personally, if I were Israel and these guys starting firing thousands of missiles on my country I would use the nutron bombs/clean nukes

Clinton gave China the Klystron Switch so the could make thermonuclear and neutron bombs which they could fit on the ICBM missiles with a Clinton provided guidance systems. In the same time frame, Clinton had the guidance cards removed from our ICBMS. He then declared that the US would not make neutron bombs.

The Chinese loved this so much they went on to make the only tested and working neutron bombs.

So you would have to ask the Chinese to sell you some; we do not have any.

Just a bit puzzled at the source of the info. Under the headline it says “reuters” but the link goes to “rt.com”, which is a RUSSIAN based “autonomous non-profit,’TV Novosti’” with an address & phone numbers in Moscow. The site is also available in Arabic.

So am just wondering about the accuracy of the info. Could the “thousands” of US troops be inflated to antagonize? Has this been confirmed anywhere else?

PS: I’d love to see our country stand with Israel but I don’t trust Zero to do that, any further than I could throw an elephant.
