Reality sucks, huh?

Brain drain? There's nothing to drain. There's been no brains on Capitol Hill in years.

My first thought, too. Then seriousness took over and wondered who would be replacing them.

(“If not, I think we should begin an immediate amicus brief to say, ‘Listen this is simply not fair to these employees,’” Larson told POLITICO. “They are federal employees.”)

Gosh, parse out the thinking behind that statement. They passed this law but the speaker is appalled that “it’s not fair” it will negatively impact “federal employees.” What category does that put everyone else in who are not the protected class of “federal employees.”

I was just notified that my BC/BS is going up in a few months. They’re railroading into the cheaper European single payer Socialized or Nationalized Medicine Healthcare.

Thanks, boys. You destroyed the finest health care system in the world, wrecked the economy, took jobs away from the American people, enriched yourselves with insider information, and now you’re going to cut and run. I hope to live long enough to see all of you swinging from the end of a rope.

They're not afraid of how Obamacare will affect us, only how it will affect them.

My prediction:

In the next few weeks they will pass "emergency legislation." It will fix the parts of Obamacare that hurt themselves, while making everything more painful for us.

Let's see if I've got this straight: A bunch of power- and money-hungry politicians are going to give up their high-paying, high-power gigs just because their health insurance premiums might go up?

I don't think so.

Health insurance costs could increase ten-fold without having a significant impact on the overwhelming majority of them.

I think the greedy basturds are running a bluff to leverage the Obama mal-Administration in to creating “exemptions” for them so they can keep their current plans at their current rates (or perhaps even lower rates); and be spared even a minuscule taste of the horrors we “commoners” will be facing over the next few years.

And I think he will cave in to them. He will give a speech about it, breathlessly and dramatically lecturing us about this “terrible unintended consequence” which stands to “devastate these dedicated individuals”. He will then affect an air of smug self-satisfaction as he triumphantly announces his “solution”: The aforementioned exemptions.

These leaches are NOT going to voluntarily step off the gravy train. They intend to then continue to live their entire lives on our dimes - lots and lots and lots of OUR dimes.

Not a bad thing, iMHO. DC needs to be turned upside down and shaken, anyway.

Brains on Capitol Hill are drained every time they flush a toilet up there.

Their brains are treated at Blue Plains, you can smell them when you pass by.

This is good news. The less we have of the resident Washington, D.C. “Mandarin Class”, so much the better.

In the years ahead, there will be new Senators and Congressmen who will be arriving from the real world, fresh with stories to tell of their employees and businessmen in their districts who were raped by Ocare.

"The uncertainty has created a growing furor on Capitol Hill with aides young and old worried about skyrocketing health care premiums cutting deeply into their already small paychecks."

And what about the rest of America, who's "already small paychecks" are 30% LOWER than those of government workers?

If the issue isn’t resolved, and massive numbers of lawmakers and aides bolt, many on Capitol Hill fear it could lead to a brain drain just as Congress tackles a slew of weighty issues — like fights over the Tax Code and immigration reform.

Believe me a brain drain in the District of Corruption IS THE LAST THING THEY SHOULD BE WORRING ABOUT.
